Before the Batman, The Bat
Big rain today, and the quaking aspens are at peak fall color, so I drove up into the mountains to see if I could get some nice atmospheric shots.
Some turned out OK. Others were blurry from the low light.
It was a good drive, over a pass that they don’t maintain in the winter, and I was grateful to have manual transmission. Definitely a 2nd & 3rd gear trip.

Di, a good set. My favorite was Guardsman’s Pass. Sometimes a nice, stark, contrasty bicolor says more than a fall palette. Especially when it’s all spruced up!
All those pictures looked about perfect to me.
Not even sure where I’m supposed to be finding fault or quibble over some random thing or another.
Maybe we should have a recurring pw photo collection.
It’s well established that Darleen takes excellent pictures. Di takes a great landscape shot we’re finding. Anyone else?
Might be a fun recurring post to run on Sat/Sun.
The more I think about it the more I like it.
