Oh look, there are still some Californians who know how to stand up on their hind legs! [Darleen Click]

Not the coastal elites of course.

Dozens of protesters clashed Tuesday as buses full of undocumented immigrants tried to make their way to a U.S. Border Patrol Station in Murrieta.

Approximately 140 people were flown into San Diego from Texas at 11 a.m. and bused to Murrieta around 2:20 p.m., with similar groups expected to arrive every three days.

The situation was tense as protesters unleashed their fury over immigration, with one man spitting into the face of a man who opposed him.

“They have come so far, they’ve worked harder than you’ve ever worked, they’ve worked harder than you’ve ever worked in your whole life!” one woman screamed.

Another woman told CBS2/KCAL9 reporter Tom Wait: “We have enough issues here: we have our own veterans, we have homeless mothers, we have a lot of people living on the streets of L.A. We need to take care of these people first.”

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement buses eventually left Murrieta, apparently impeded by protesters, and headed southbound on the 15 Freeway. It was not immediately clear where they were going.

Over to you, Barry.

Probably just down I-15 to the border checkpoint south of Temecula (more than 70 miles north of the actual border, I will note without further comment) until the protesters head home for supper, only to be returned via quieter transportation (vans and pickup trucks, rather than buses)…

    – When blaming Bush just isn’t good enough.

    – Lets hope he doubles and triples down on blaming the media. If he loses it in earnest, and there are growing signs he already has, he’ll be beyond lame duck.

    From the linked story:

****Well, here’s a question, Mr. President: If what you really want is more coverage of the serious stuff, then why employ a small army of staffers to scurry around for days setting up superficial photo ops for us?

The burger joint photo op was set up so the president could be seen with Rebekah Erler, a 36-year-old mother of two preschoolers. In March, Erler wrote a letter to him explaining her family’s financial struggles. The White House refused to identify Erler until the lunch, and only let reporters in briefly to take photos and video during the actual event. They then complained that those same shut-out reporters didn’t say enough about the president’s conversation with her or the broader, related issues he’s trying to address. (New press secretary Josh Earnest, by the way, denied that the White House was trying to “stage manage” the news.)

“You don’t see that on TV sometimes,” the president later said. “It’s not what the press and pundits talk about. But I’m here to tell you I’m listening.”

The president wasn’t finished. At a fundraiser Thursday night, Obama blamed the media for pushing what he calls “phony scandals.” It’s bad enough that Republicans are blocking him at every turn, he said (which they absolutely are), but now the media is essentially in cahoots with the GOP because we don’t report on anything (he claims) other than the VA, IRS, ObamaCare, Benghazi, and on and on.

Gosh, is this the same “liberal media” that right-wingers say is in Obama’s pocket? That covers anything except for the VA, IRS, ObamaCare, and Benghazi?

When the media is attacked by both sides, by both Obama supporters and opponents, it’s a reasonable sign that the media is doing a pretty good job of being fair.****

Some say not even a fair job of being pretty good.

    Still others say bilgewater.

Just because the President is pissed that the press isn’t covering for him more thoroughly does not mean that the press isn’t TRYING to cover for him, just that there is no way to cover up a 7.0+ earthquake by singing “John Jacob Jingleheimerschmidt” really loudly. People will still notice that there is a massive earthquake going on, and the President is complaining about the press being off-key, but the press sings on.

No, those are hard-hearted racist teabaggers h8ing on brown childrens.

NOT, I repeat, NOT fed-up citizens who recognize that the Cynic in Chief has provoked/taken advantage of this crisis for the express purpose of arrogating more power to himself.

With the tacit approval of “the opposition party,” who at this point won’t even attempt to protest His Lawlessness, not even for Kabuki purposes.
