Celebrate your lifeydoodleness! Or curse the Man! And his greedy capitalist cabal!
Isn’t it great to live in a country where we know that, a couple times a year, one freaking Justice can, oftentimes with nothing more than obvious sophistry, essentially tell 300 million people how they have to live? Just like the Framers intended?
God Bless America!
As I understand it from my Twitter feed, today SCOTUS required all women to submit to their husbands, and lacking said husband were to be interred in rape farms with no recourse to healthcare of any kind.
That, and they banned all organized labor, decreed the 5-day work week a Pomp of the Devil, and required each 12-hour work day begin with the Pledge of Allegiance followed by forced baptisms and branding with Leviticus 18:22
That seems rather harsh. I mean, the Pledge of Allegiance? That’s written by a socialist. And Ecclesiastes is so much more 60s-esque.
Proggs declare this the worst decision since Dred Scott. Worse, in fact.
However, you are allowed to make contraceptives as a craft project, as long as the supplies come from the Hobby Lobby.
Possibly my copy of the decision PDF had some corruption, but I’m pretty sure that was the gist…
One caution – glitter can cause problematic chafing.
The more you know!
I’m quite sure the Progs will be clamoring for Obama to ignore the law with his pen and phone.
“ignore the ruling” I mean.
How does any of this address the rampant rape culture at Hobby Lobby?
I found hotbeds of rape culture in my broom closet, my glove compartment, and my refrigerator. I don’t know how Dick Cheney managed this.
Obamacare is an unmitigated disaster and somehow this ruling is a problem?
The left is truly insane.
I thought the ruling required women to become impregnated and give birth in the glitter aisle at the closest Hobby Lobby. I might have misread the ruling, but I have it on good authority from the Lover of Truth ™ on the left.
Proggs declare this the worst decision since Dred Scott. Worse, in fact.
LAW OF THE LAND! (Exeunt Omnes, laughing)
Facebook, by way of Politico commentators, has deemed this decision to be the first step toward an American Christian Taliban.
Burqas, hijabs and loss of driving privileges are up next because that’s the way Christians roll.
Planned Parenthood estimated that birth control costs between $15 and $50 a month; most of that are in cash transactions. If it has to be covered with a no-copay insurance plan, the costs of pharmacies checking insurance cards and billing insurance companies, and insurance companies paying the pharmacies — along with a payment lag time — then he costs of birth control have to increase, because all of those things cost money.
A decent theocracy would see to it five J. Ginsburg clones be appointed to fill the seats currently held by those conservative male devils, whereupon the nation could delight in a confident satisfaction with unanimous 9-0 decisions ever after. Who will keep us from our perfection?
List of things to do today
1. Buy glitter and scrap booking stuff at Hobby Lobby
2. Have lunch at Chik-Fil-A
3. Lynch a random homosexual
4. Laundry
It’s okay if all those things cost money, because it’s all coming out of Scrooge McKoch Brothers’ money bin.
I can see why some corporations might want to have contraception covered: fewer pregnancies amongst their employees and employees’ wives means lower expenses for maternity coverage, and fewer days missed due to maternity leave and child care problems; such insurance could help productivity. And if they want to include that in their insurance plans, they are perfectly free to do so.
What the left want is to force everybody to comply; they are the borg.

Well, maybe, but not quite yet.
So does this mean Hobby Lobby doesn’t have to pay for the Pill if a she-male employee needs it?

With a handle like “Spiffy Keen,” you would only expect the pithiest of bons mots.
I am surprised “spiffy” didn’t want to “f” the Catholics on the Supreme Court.
Hobby lobby provided contraceptives. It didn’t provide abortifacients.
Let’s not let the left conflate the two.
Lib lady: “Thanks for the free contraceptives. But I went and got knocked up anyway because I forgot to bring them with me to Starbucks that one day, then met some guy at a club and, well, you know. Which, that’s just wrong. I mean, I barely even know him!”
Hobby Lobby: “Uh, sorry…?”
Lib lady: “Thanks. Now pay me to kill this stupid thing, would you? Or else I’m going to have to scream rape.”
What, doesn’t everyone to the right of Harry Reid get Koch payola?
It seems the more cute and fluffy the handle a proggtard uses, the more spiteful and ugly he* is.
*insert alternative pronoun as needed, i.e. Ne, Ze, spivak, etc.
I’m serious.

True. However, a proggtard called in to Dennis Prager with a novel theory. HL is “hypocritical” because while they don’t want to pay for abortifacients, he declared women working at HL are routinely exposed to abortifacients in the workplace as part of their job.
Which made me wonder why HL needed to provide them in the first place. Then my head started hurting.
George, your “to-do” list missed “buy ammo”.
The Supreme Constitutional Lawyer of the land chimes in:
None of the dutiful press that I’ve heard or seen makes the careful articulation between abortifacients and contraception, always and only saying “contraception” while using some circuitous euphemism to alluded to while avoiding saying the former. Can’t be done, y’see. It’s all the propaganda, all the time.
DarthLevin – comment of the day, and you win the internets!
Other than in passing, none of the press has mentioned that Hobby Lobby and Conestoga are both closely held corporations. The implication being that this ruling, rather than being very narrow, is slamming the door on employer health coverage from GE to GM and everything in between.
It’s the same stupidity that leads morons like Shep Smith to crow about grossly inflated stock market numbers rather than referring to the Volatility Index’s alarming climb into self-destruct.
I assume the left (at least those that are trying) is making a “slippery slope” arguments that maybe not HL but, some even more conservative business can choose not to cover any birth control.
Actually, I don’t care about the difference between a contraceptive and an abortifacient. Not paying for something is not the same as preventing.
Fuck that noise, RI Red. My employer better damn well pay for all the .45ACP I want, or I’ll SUE! It’s in the Constitution!
Mr Levin wrote:
Uhhh, only if your employer is not a closely-held family corporation. GE, yes; Hobby Lobby, no.
Yeah, I think that’s been mentioned.
today SCOTUS required all women to submit to their husbands
Does it also require husbands to sacrifice themselves for their families the way Christ sacrificed himself for the church?
Thought not.
Obamacare is an unmitigated disaster and somehow this ruling is a problem?
The left is truly insane.
Obamacare = egregious power grab
SCOTUS ruling = pries a skosh of power from their greedy little fists
So no, they’re being 100% consistent.
Megan Kelly got the Suffragette “here’s David Bowie’s forehead” City hairstyle only in a bad “skip the roots” bleach blonde, with rigid frosted sides.
So it’s sort of a faux-scandi version of the ‘mid 80’s a little new wave/japan but not too far please” do…
I guess she wants her bangs protecting the top of her head.
“How does any of this address the rampant rape culture at Hobby Lobby?”
I bought a plastic intermediate difficulty model of a WW2 US army truck at Hobby Lobby once, and I wanted it to be 1/48 but when I opened the box it was a 1/35. It was exactly like being raped.
And I don’t even want to talk about the time :TRIGGER WARNING!: I bought a low-end corded Dremel kit and it didn’t come with all the tool heads I would have wanted, expecting me to buy them separately.

I don’t like it.
Proggtard understanding of the godbuk doesn’t extend to 1) reading the whole passage or b) understanding what was intended. Not surprisingly, the same applies to their understanding of SCOTUS rulings.
Ooops. Your meme is denied.
