Under the title, “Frat House,” U.S. News and World Report ran this item in its “Washington Whispers” section this week:

Women have top jobs in the White House and as network anchors, but CNN’s No. 3 White House correspondent, Kelly Wallace, says guys still rule. ‘I still feel like I am sometimes fighting against the boys’ club attitude,’ she tells Front and Center, a new show from the University of Maryland journalism department. Guys ‘can call up a senior aide and chit-chat about football and baseball and then they slide in a little news nugget,’ she says. Ditto at CNN, where, she notes, no woman has snared the top White House posting.

Aw come off it, Kelly. Want to scoop the big boys, maybe move out of the number three spot in the rotation? A couple tips: 1) Try learning about football or baseball yourself (most guys love the chickies and like spending time with them, especially those who can figure out an earned run average), or 2) give Condi a call and compliment her on her hair; maybe she’ll confide to when we’re planning to begin our bombing campaign in Iraq…
