my brother let me bury abe on his property. i dug the grave the day before taking him to the vet death panel. after the event, i gave leave to my mom who helped me through this endeavor, and i proceeded to place abe at his last place. it snowed while i was doing this. funny how the tears are still there 10 years later.
Our big guy is getting to the point where I worry once in a while that I’ll come home and he won’t get up to greet me. 100lb+ dogs don’t tend to have a long life span.
Great pic.

Looks like she’s thinking, “The deed may be in their names, but I own this place.”
Beautiful dog.

“Yes, this’ll do.”
Attentive pose, alert, poised. I’ll bet she was a fantastic watchdog.
A dog truly is a (suffering) family’s best friend. Our therapeutic puppy, a year old, last year.
That’s a great looking dog, Jeff. If she was Akita/Husky mix like you thought, she must have been STUBBORN! As well as smart and loyal.
Since we’re sharing pictures, here’s my dog.
Such a pretty girl who is thinking “Holes. I must dig some holes.”
What is that question that James Lipton asks:
If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
