See? You invite him to a “conservative leadership conference” for NRO…

…and he immediately takes you seriously.

Let me see if I can put this in a way that is easy to remember and perfectly simple to understand:  Joe Scarborough is to GOP strategy :: Perry Como is Heavy Metal Satanic Tribute CDs and sacrificing orphans on an altar to please Baal.

Need proof?  Here you go:  Scarborough, appearing on a liberal show with a liberal host, trashing TEA Partiers and calling for an end to “political amateurs.”  Evidently, conservative constitutionalism is really all about establishing and then reinforcing a permanent political ruling class.  Because that’s what the Founders and Framers would have wanted, having just fought an improbable revolution to divorce themselves from an aristocracy.

Whether you believe in Third Parties or in overtaking the GOP, one thing we can all agree upon is this: Scarborough is an embarrassment, a buffoon, a useful idiot for the leftists and the GOP corporatists who have no real problem dealing with the leftists (who after all embrace liberal fascism, which requires working together with big business). That he was invited to speak at a conservative leadership conference hosted by WFB’s magazine — and that he is just MSNBC’s equivalent of most of the “conservatives” on FOX these days — tells you all you need know about the intellectual bankruptcy of the modern Republican Party.

Scarborough is a joke who, like most of those presuming to “nudge” us and direct our votes, doesn’t yet realize that we consider him a joke — and that we have no intention of following his lead or the lead of any others who wish to sell us on compromise with Marxists and comity with hateful race baiters and modern-day welfare state slave owners.

I concur with the thoughts expressed in this post. I write only to say, until I read this, I associated Perry Como with being sent off to bed in my jammies in the early 60s so that my parents could slow dance in the living room to the crooner playing on the “Hi-Fi.” Now, that memory will consist of Perry dressed as Gene Simmons. Thanks, so much.

Have a cookie Joe. Or maybe a change of fingernail-color. You could even get tiny American flags painted on, I’ll bet. Fifty times ten, that’s like five-hundred stars so starry are you.

  3. BigBangHunter says:

    – As bad as Joe is, and hes a classic carpet bagger RINO, our resident lifelong major fuckhead still has to be sKerry. This ahole seems to be able to snatch defeat from the surest possible examples of success, and make a documentary to his stuck-on-stupid while doing it. If Bumblefuck leaves Lurch to his own devices in the ME he’ll probably manage to start a seventh crusade before hes done.

  6. EBL says:

Of course, you have to admit it takes some political skill to translate a dead female intern in your House of Rep. offices into a high paying gig on MSNBC (and he gets paid a lot more than his girl Mika does).

  7. charles w says:

EBL, Morning Mika would be a hard sell. Sounds more like a Suzanne Vega song.

  8. Squid says:

Remember shit like this when the time comes to rub these mongrels’ snouts in the fact that the “amateurs” were right all along. With luck, we’ll also be able to rub their snouts in the fact that they were badly beaten by a bunch of “amateurs” in a way that hasn’t been seen since a bunch of farmers took on His Majesty’s redcoats.

Alternatively, we can just watch everything crash and burn, and then point and laugh when the mob comes for him. Hopefully from our smooth functioning communities out in flyover land.

Sounds like a late 80’s ” rich people do street poetry from the gallery steps” acapella crap Suzanne Vega song that she should have left on the coffee house stage and not actually recorded.

And then the Black Eyed Peas would do a beat box of it as a free single given away on their fan page.

    Welcome to your life

It’s just that we want to rule the world

For the above I’ll apologize neither to music lovers everywhere nor to Tears for Fears. In fact, TFF ought to apologize to the music lovers.

Poor Joe, he just want to loved. What is so wrong with that?

  14. cranky-d says:

Political “professionals” are the cause of most of my problems with the government, and are anathema to the desires of the Founding Fathers.

Not that anyone cares what dead white guys thought, of course, unless they were Marxists.

  15. leigh says:

Strangely, Karl Marx is also the only Jew they listen to, as well.

    – Or some third rate beat generation out-of-work-dude-over-rated-song-writer wrote a jingle about them.

Except that owing the US is exactly what he had in mind; it doesn’t happen to include a well functioning healthcare system, by the way. He’s content with bossership, whether of morons or slaves makes no difference to him.

  21. BigBangHunter says:

When the Obama administration releases health law enrollment figures later this week, though, it will use a more expansive definition. It will count people who have purchased a plan as well as those who have a plan sitting in their online shopping cart but have not yet paid.

“In the data that will be released this week, ‘enrollment’ will measure people who have filled out an application and selected a qualified health plan in the marketplace,” said an administration official, who requested anonymity to frankly describe the methodology.

    – By which it would be more accurate to describe “teh mythology”. It looks like 3% is being vastly charitable.

    – But hey, you know what. Who gives a fuck how deeply the “reality based” asshole commune lies to itself. The bigger the lie, the longer the fall. So I say, cheer them on for Baracky. Forward.

  22. leigh says:

What was it palaeo called him? An industrial strength blame-thrower, I think.

    – You’ll have to excuse me, I watched Bumblefuck struggle mightily to stay awake at the Veterans ceremony, so my week is already complete. (The little shop of horrors portion that is.)

Bernie Goldberg was on O’Reilly strumming the old ‘Tea Party is purist’ harp. He said that the real RINOS are the TEA party because they aren’t loyal to the party.

Bernie, I have news for you. I don’t even CALL myself a Republican any more. You drug the party so far left that I don’t care any more. Call whatever you want the middle, but the middle is shrinking. I won’t even vote for Governor Christie if fucking Elizabeth Warren is the dem candidate. Sorry you can’t get that into your head. I won’t be frightened into eating another shit sandwich. I don’t value your respect. I don’t wish you were my buddy. I’m not going to contribute, campaign or vote for your bullshit and don’t care if you feel that is reasonable. 2008, 2012…want to go for the hat trick? Then send me another spineless moderate weather vane and tell him not to offend anybody on the left. Send me a good candidate who will fight the Federal beast or I’ll leave you to burn in your own lit fart explosion. I don’t give a single fucking iota of shit about your little dance any more. I hope it HURTS LIKE HELL when you lose and that it keeps hurting long after. I hope you never get a job in national politics again and become a laughingstock and an object lesson in being stuck on stupid while in an undeserved position of trust.

Karl Rove tried to bat clean up in the following segment. Not a single fuck was given.

  26. palaeomerus says:

Okay, calling the press “a position of trust” especially an ex CBS guy, is a bit on the hyberbole side of things. I got carried away.

  27. dicentra says:

Here’s an interesting tidbit: I spoke with a cousin who works for United Healthcare. He said that during the lead-up to the SCOTUS decision, UHC had prepared an announcement wherein they would start offering better coverage for pre-existing conditions and the uninsured and stuff.

In other words, they’d start implementing the stuff that Obamacare is supposed to be addressing (but instead is wrecking).

And being a 500-lb gorilla in the healthcare space, they could influence other companies to follow suit.

But no, Roberts concocted his boneheaded thing (and lets not forget the other four who were equally boneheaded or worse) and UHC was left standing there with their teeth in their mouth.

He also said that the back-end of the Obamacare web site is orders of magnitude more messed up than the front (which is a case study in Bad Programming), and that it won’t “collapse on its own” because the gubmint will just keep propping it up by running the printing presses, which will cause the entire economy to collapse on its own instead.

    Yay us.

A very Cranky man once said :

    ” cranky-d says February 17, 2013 at 12:47 pm
Joe Scarborough is a profoundly stupid man. He knows just enough to act in a manner that keeps him employed at MSNBC. “

  29. cranky-d says:

    I stand by that statement.

“If you’re interested in the Republican future, you need to read The Right Path. I don’t agree with all of it, but Joe Scarborough has written a book that’s both thought-provoking and fun.”—William Kristol

  31. palaeomerus says:

If you’re interested in the Republican political future it involves rotting in a ditch and being masticated by a buzzard. If the socialism gets too far along it might even be a literal ditch instead of a political one. Those eggs ain’t going to break themselves and the menu currently calls for a 30-40% chance of omlettes

    – National Socialist like these young turk jackoffs have never dreampt of. Clamp down on every fucking thing they try to do in their “new culture”. Stop hiring them. Stop buying their crappola bling-pop-culture music, fake art and fake talentless entertainment.

    – Let them make it on their own and see how they do. Read today that the Left is migrating to SF and the right to Southern towns. A good start to isolating the sons of bitches and letting them starve to death in their free life-styles and bullshit.

    (Rant ends…carry on).

  37. BigBangHunter says:

    – One small ray of sunshine.

    – And by the way, to any of you fuckheaded GOPers out there that may be reading this. After the dirty dozen you’re next, and in case its all to complicated for you, you’ll be buzzards bait next for exactly the same reasons, no matter how well Rove and the other Rinos put a pretty face on it.

  41. palaeomerus says:

But the public is a prisoner of the cage of the status quo, and history is for it. History always wins!

I wonder what the smart set thinks about that.

  43. 11B40 says:

    Greetings:

For God’s and Satch’s sakes, leave Perry Como alone. My mother’s spirit still travels amongst us and she will brook not disrespect in his or his memory’s regard.

Not just TEA-partiers. Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven; and their disciples too I suppose.
