Tourists locked in their hotel by NPS
Vaillancourt was one of thousands of people who found themselves in a national park as the federal government shutdown went into effect on Oct. 1. For many hours her tour group, which included senior citizen visitors from Japan, Australia, Canada and the United States, were locked in a Yellowstone National Park hotel under armed guard.
The tourists were treated harshly by armed park employees, she said, so much so that some of the foreign tourists with limited English skills thought they were under arrest. […]
The bus stopped along a road when a large herd of bison passed nearby, and seniors filed out to take photos. Almost immediately, an armed ranger came by and ordered them to get back in, saying they couldn’t “recreate.” The tour guide, who had paid a $300 fee the day before to bring the group into the park, argued that the seniors weren’t “recreating,” just taking photos.
“She responded and said, ‘Sir, you are recreating,’ and her tone became very aggressive,” Vaillancourt said.
And the petty bureaucrats at the government school level ban, well, play at middle school.
As CBS 2’s Jennifer McLogan reported Monday, officials at Weber Middle School in Port Washington are worried that students are getting hurt during recess. Thus, they have instituted a ban on footballs, baseballs, lacrosse balls, or anything that might hurt someone on school grounds. […]
They were just informed that during recess, football is out and Nerf ball is in. Hard soccer balls have been banned, along with baseballs and lacrosse balls, rough games of tag, or cartwheels unless supervised by a coach.

– In order to counter the obvious question the legacy mediots keep posting ledes of “Will the GOP lose the House”. The obvious question they should be asking, but won’t, will the Dimbulbs lose the Senate.
What a marvelous condition that people become so inured to being propagandized that they have learnt to propagandize themselves without the mediation of the chanting press! It’s a whirlygig of the highest order.
Who loses what depends on who caves first, doesn’t it?
No, it’s the American People that lose, because we’re never even allowed a voice at the table, except for that once every other November.
That’s by design. And I don’t particularly have a problem with that.
My problem is with the generally lacksadaisical manner in which the American People raise their voice when it’s finally their turn to speak.
Of course, that’s by design as well.
[…] it does. That’s by design. It’s the same reason Obama is directing his minions to make things hurt for the ordinary people. What, you didn’t think they’d cut down on pointless job roles instead, did […]
