I would like the Republicans to get in front of every microphone they can and restate over and over a easy to understand simple message. Obamacare for everyone, or Obamacare for no one.
Make it a red line, Obamacare will not be funded unless it is the law for everyone including the President and his family, Congress and their families, Supreme Court Justices and their families, unions, corporations, eight down to the lowliest welfare queen. EVERYONE. NO exceptions, wavers, or special treatment of any kind.
I mean, how hard of a requirement would that be to sell to the public?
Who wants ClownDisasterCare for everyone, even if only rhetorically (the socialists, that’s who)? So why would those who oppose it ever suggest everyone should have it in any respect? I mean, ClownDisasterCare isn’t good, precisely because of the pretense of universality, and even worse should anything remotely resembling political universality come about. For the only possible universality is a universality of poverty and want.
Granted, it’s altogether another matter to insist that laws must be executed as written, and not arbitrarily revised as the tyrant chooses to reward his friends and punish his enemies whenever he sees fit. But it seems to me that this is a different argument than the simple red-line contrast you pose Lee.
The point is, it is a condition that could never be met, so there would be a very strong argument for never funding it.

I do see your point, so by all means massage the message if you want. But I still say there’s a strong simple message there that Obamacare is inherently incapable if being equitable, and until it is made so should not be funded.
Not a penny until all waivers, exemptions, and other special considerations are withdrawn. Force the bastards to trash the whole thing and start over at square one.
For my part, massaging the message isn’t the thing, or won’t be, if only because of my idiosyncratic limitations — I’m just not a fit rhetorician.
Whether right or wrong, I find myself far more interested in getting to the fundamental question, which in the context of this conversation looks something like “what is law, if not entirely non-arbitrary?”, but which in the wider sense looks more to me like “Who is sovereign, who is to rule in the United States of America? The people? Or the leader-man, The ClownDisaster?”
I find this impromptu conference between Paul and McConnell to be somewhat reassuring. Superficial as all get-out, but reassuring just the same.
To be honest, I think in this post constitutional land of ours, it is the MSM, simultaneously speaking for and indoctrinating the people, who rule in the USA.

I’d like to know the precise location where the Black Infiniti ended up (on the Capitol grounds? which is a big area) and the incident ended, but so far haven’t been able to find that information, despite looking at approx. 5 distinct news stories. The press seems incapable of communicating the most basic stuff.
