a CITIZEN JOURNALIST responds to the critics of Ted Cruz

If you don’t mind a tiny bit of constructive criticism, let me remind you that the McCain / Romney presidencies never really went as planned.  Similarly, the decision to balk at the very constituency that brought you to power in the House has, as you know, not given you the kind of positive press from the left-leaning legacy media that you expected it might.

Which is all just a very short way of saying you really aren’t nearly as smart as you think you are — and in fact, on the scale of political smarts, your nuance has perpetually pushed you leftward, which, while on the powerful authoritarian end of the political spectrum, nevertheless suffers from  being on the dumbest and most dangerous end, as well.

Surprisingly, gulags and mass murders haven’t always proven difficult for the left to rationalize!  I suppose bringing out the long knives against your own is a start.

Baby steps!

The public does not approve of Congress, and Congress does not approve of Cruz.

Seems pretty simple to me. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

My friend and I happen to have the same enemies.

Anyone with even a passing familiarity with Cruz’s resume should be aware that they’re trying to stab a chainsaw at full throttle.

They fear him, Pablo. And rightfully so.

It was a thing of beauty to watch him tell Harry Reid to sit down and shut up (in a nice way, of course) during the filibuster.

Well, if the “he’s a nut” ray doesn’t work, they’ll launch the Gloria Alred sex harassment victim missles, and fire the “I saw him spit on a black guy once” cannon. Or he’ll be called a closet homo, which will suddenly be a bad thing where he’s concerned but laudable everywhere else.

  7. leigh says:

He’s Hispanic with a fantastic Horatio Alger type life story. Isn’t that proof that he’s not raciss? Surely a guy like Obama with a paper-thin resume might wish to watch his mincing step around the guy who founded the Harvard Hispanic Law Review.

Attacking Cruz’ bona fides would be expected and not yield any fruit, low hanging or otherwise.
