1. The brilliant Anthony Perez-Miller, a PhD candidate in history and
philosophy of science (whose dissertation happens to be an
analysis of the structural flaws in ID arguments) weighs in on the evolution and ID debate that continues engage the blogosphere. For those who need reminding, my position on the matter is here.
2. Tom Elia writes, “DNC chair Howard Dean once again has said that having Social Security personal accounts invested in the stock and bond markets would be like handing money over “to the people who brought you Enron.”
“Trouble is, Dr. Dean and his wife themselves have a stock and bond portfolio of well over $2 million…” BECAUSE OF THE HYPOCRISY!

4. Confederate Yankee’s opinion of Cindy Sheehan is less, er, forgiving than mine.
5. First they came for my cigarettes, and I said nothing, because I did not smoke. But this?—fuck you, Bloombergstan! (via Allah)
6. A movie you’ve probably never heard of that’s worth checking out: Four Days in September, about the kidnapping of US Ambassador to Brazil Charles Burke Elbrick in 1969.
7. FREE JUDITH MILLER! Or, y’know, don’t.
8. Uh. Okay…
Sheesh, and I thought Giuliani was a busybody. Gerald Ford had the right idea.
re: intelligent design.

Down the rabbit hold indeed….that post makes Jeff seem almost coherent. Almost.
Either free Judith Miller or give her back her Red Leaf lettuce privledges–one or the other. You fascists.
Four Days in September is intriguing and well-made. Those interested in the Brazilian angle might find Takashi Miike’s City of Lost Soulsworth checking out.
After those endless lists of movies, nearly none of which I’ve seen(and, let’s face it, probably never will), you actually recommend a movie I’ve seen.
Yes, Four Days in September is an excellent movie. Alan Arkin gives a great performance.
Re #4: There’s also this. I realize you linked to the Malkin opus, where this was found, Jeff, but it’s worth repeating.
