Future scenes from the upcoming Congressional committee hearings into “Plamegate”

First Senator: “Uh huh. And this Joe Wilson fella is who again –?”*

Second Senator: “—Hey, can he say ‘Wilson’?  Because if not, I would like to register a strenuous objection to my esteemed colleague’s flagrant disregard for the national security of this great nation.”*

Lots more here; and for additional Nadagate analysis, see Tom Maguire, Mark Kleiman, and The Daily Howler.

I predict that eventually this will result in several perjury convictions, based solely on the fact that this shit is unimportant.  People can’t remember off-handed comments about nonplayers that they made 30 months ago and so they guess against their own memories.

    Man,

I like Maguire’s work, but his comments section is a tool shed.  There’s so much willful density over there I’m worried the comments section is going to collapse in on itself.

You’ve just described John Cole’s site, as well.

RE: The Daily Howler’s debunking of Marshall’s preemptive war on Sen. Roberts, Kevin Drum has started, well, beating the same drum as Marshall.  The weird thing is, from everything I can see, the criticism of Roberts is based on…absolutely nothing.

Every time the Left brings up the Plame episode and claims it has anything to do with national security, someone should hold up a neon sign saying

SANDY BERGER SANDY BERGER SANDY BERGER

Why?  Well, BECAUSE OF THE HYPOCRISY!!, of course.

OH, I also meant to add that Nadagate is a perfect litmus test for moonbats.

Karl Rove heard the name from the media, and passed it to someone else in the media.  Meanwhile, numerous eople in the media already knew about it.  So Rove didn’t leak anything.  For all he knew, it wasn’t even true; the only thing Rove’s guilty of is rumor-mongering.

    He did nothing wrong.  Nada.

The whole thing is rather encouraging to me.  If the lefties are reduced to hyperventilating over Nadagate, they are in deep trouble.

Third Senator:So has Mrs Plame/Wilson gone missing as a result of this?  If she has, I know this club in Miami…..

The damper the squib, that harder they have to blow on it to try and keep it lit.

So you think Roves is going to plead guilty? You think he should lose his security clearance?  Nice to somebody honest enough to admit a crime has been commited.

    You’re nextwink
