“Drudge Editor on Obama Scandals: White House Is Sitting on Something That Has Top Aides Terrified”

Who can even fathom what has aides to this bunch terrified, so blase are they about human life, about the suffering they cause, about the molestation they routinely engage in by way of governmental bureaucracies and agencies and regulations and taxes and fees, about the racial and ethnic and economic division they stoke as casually as they breathe.

If I had to guess?  It’s the potential whistleblower testimony that will tie ObamaCo to the supplying of weapons to Islamist radicals — even as the same Administration spent time and enormous energy domestically trying to take our (meager) weapons away.

But I don’t suspect that revelation would have them “terrified.”  After all, they’d probably just say that Ambassador Stephenson was a rogue agent, and that State and the White House had covered up his tracks to protect his reputation and legacy and shield his family from repercussion from the anti-Islamic bigots that are sure to start burning down mosques here in the US.  Now that it’s no longer possible to do so, fuck it:  He did it, not us!

So.  I got nothing.  Any guesses?

  2. sdferr says:

The report that any White House person is terrified simply defies what we see before our eyes everyday. It’s possible, I suppose, that unseen or in hiding, someone there may be terrified, but the conduct of the place doesn’t register any such phenomenon that we can observe directly. A more unjustifiably arrogant crowd one should hope never to see. Michelle waved goodbye to her terrors in the Spring of 2007. She had them then, notably, but hasn’t since.

And if found to be terrified on the inside of the circle within the building, what would the terror stricken striver’s co-workers think? How about “Traitor! Sell-out!”, “Shut Up! Here’s a money bonus!”

Or cite Iran/Contra and wrap themselves in the flag.

  4. I think if there is any such revelation in the wings, it’s not immediately related to Benghazi, F&F or the IRS/DOJ abuses — except insofar as it is another Obama scandal.

The reason they’re terrified, then, would be that it’s the one straw too many, the one that finally is too much to maintain the Unicorn Prince illusion even to the Obamaphone set.

  5. dicentra says:

In similar news, some of the folks at David Thompson’s place think that Obama might be the only virgin in the whorehouse.

I set ’em straight, of course.

  6. dicentra says:

the one that finally is too much to maintain the Unicorn Prince illusion even to the Obamaphone set.

They already made the mistake of spying on the press: they must have betrayed the unions or something.

  7. I Callahan says:

Or cite Iran/Contra and wrap themselves in the flag.

Yup. This is what I think will happen also.

  8. If I could imagine an act that could drive a wedge between the little god-king and his low-information base, that’s where I’d be looking.

Maybe he hates the Twilight books. Or he listens to Justin Bieber.

Or he finds Honey Boo Boo to be high culture.

  9. SBP says:

I think it’s more or less a given at this stage that weapons were going where they shouldn’t oughta.

“so blase are they about human life, about the suffering they cause”

Ah, but it’s those other people dying and suffering. The bitter clingers who aren’ t even people to them, really. Just speedbumps in the road to Utopia. Statistics.

Not them personally. It makes a difference.

  10. sdferr says:

Not them personally. It makes a difference.

Those were Michelle’s qualms at the time. She learned to forget them.

  11. SBP says:

Other unanswered questions: what exactly was the Magickal Unicorn Prince doing while Benghazi was going down? Doing something that he shouldn’t oughta is my guess. They’ve been incredibly evasive about this.

  13. Libby says:

Gosh, so many options….My guess is something to do with the extent to which they are gathering info on US citizens, maybe using the super-Google assisted db that was created for Obama’s campaign. Or maybe it’s the db that the IRS is putting together that merges info from other agencies – citizenship, criminal records, medical records, internet usage, etc. – that will result in unprecedented surveillance of citizens.

The IRS questionnaires to the Tea Party groups seemed more like opposition research – who attending training, who interned and where do they work now, what is your relationship to other named conservative organizations, etc. Maybe there was direct interaction between the IRS and the Obama campaign or DHS (Napolitano has been very vocal about naming the Tea Party-type activists as the biggest threat to national security). There seemed to be an awful lot of collusion amongst agencies once a target was found, which could indicate a much greater effort to silence citizens who are vocal against the administration.

Should I be fitted for a tinfoil hat now?

  14. sdferr says:

    her computers have been compromised

Ha! She thought she lived somewhere else. People do need to catch up. This ain’t that.

  15. sdferr says:

    unprecedented surveillance of citizens.

We need to clean up our language, if only so Sharyls and such will catch on.

    Subjects. Not citizens.

  16. SBP says:

Eventually I’m going to learn how to spell Attkisson. Sorry, Sharyl.

  17. SBP says:

A commenter at Politico made an interesting point: it might be something bad enough that not even the Dems in the Senate could hold their noses and vote against removal from office (which would have to be pretty damned bad, of course).

  18. Libby says:

SBP – It’s not just the bitter clingers Obama doesn’t care about. Obama didn’t seem all that concerned about his own people in Libya. Chris Stevens was a Democrat who totally bought into Obama’s foreign policy vision and was working to implement it. And Obama couldn’t be bothered to protect or rescue him.

  19. Pablo says:

    Any guesses?

    This:

Stevens’ mission in Benghazi, they will say, was to buy back Stinger missiles from al-Qaeda groups issued to them by the State Department, not by the CIA. Such a mission would usually be a CIA effort, but the intelligence agency had opposed the idea because of the high risk involved in arming “insurgents” with powerful weapons that endanger civilian aircraft.

Hillary Clinton still wanted to proceed because, in part, as one of the diplomats said, she wanted “to overthrow Gaddafi on the cheap.”

This left Stevens in the position of having to clean up the scandalous enterprise when it became clear that the “insurgents” actually were al-Qaeda – indeed, in the view of one of the diplomats, the same group that attacked the consulate and ended up killing Stevens.

    …along with this:

Among the questions are whether CIA missteps contributed to the security failure in Benghazi and, more importantly, whether the Agency’s Benghazi operation had anything to do with reported heavy weapons shipments from the local port to Syrian rebels.

Or did State have anything to do with it?

  20. Libby says:

Oooh, I have another one: the 2012 election was compromised. All of that IRS activity was to suppress groups that would be running ads against Obama in 2012 and to intimidate Romney donors. What if this was just part of his re-election strategy, and that there were other kinds of OFA shenanigans, say related to organized voter fraud in key precincts (maybe with the help of some local Democrat politicians & AGs), that ensured Obama’s re-election? Stealing an election would be pretty major, right?
OK, now I really need to find some tinfoil…

  21. mondamay says:

Might be something to do with F&F, or even the HHS fundraising scam.

    This is a target-rich environment.

  22. Pablo says:

So. I got nothing. Any guesses?

This one is pure speculation. Chicago has had it with his lazy ass, and Bill Daley is going to talk. Maybe Rahm too.

  23. Jim in KC says:

    Obama killed Elvis?

  24. sdferr says:

    Obama killed Elvis?

Oh no. Hells no. Elvis licked one-day-old baby Obazm’s asshole clean. In blue blue blue democrat Hawaii; led there with a couple other guys by a spectacular shining guide star. And then anointed the baby bungho with Frankincense oil. For the posterity.

  25. dicentra says:

Stevens’ mission in Benghazi, they will say, was to buy back Stinger missiles from al-Qaeda groups [that were] issued to them by the State Department, not by the CIA.

I need to rewrite Simon’s stuff just to make sure I get it:

The Stingers were issued to al-Qaeda by the State Department.

CIA had balked; Hillary said “do it anyway.” Hillary thought that the insurgents were… whom?

Then it turns out that the insurgents are al-Qaeda, so whoopsie!

And because al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood are like Bloods and Crips, and the O-ministration is in bed with MB, they really made a dog’s breakfast out of it — not because they armed enemies of the U.S. but because they armed the MB’s enemies.

Were the recovered Stingers going to Syria via Turkey?

Why was Stevens dining with Turkish representatives?

And what was Obama doing during all this: their efforts to utterly distance him from events means that he was up to his neck in Scandalous Behavior.

  26. I’m waiting for Jay Carney to mention aliens or UFOs, something about Area 51. There’s a strong demographic for that sort of nonsense.

  27. dicentra says:

Why abandon Stevens? Why not do the Big Rescue Thing when the American ambassador is victimized by Libyan thugs on the anniversary of 9/11, because attacking us on 9/11 is What They Do?

Was Stevens really that hard to keep quiet?

No, it’s something else. It’s David and Uriah without Bathsheba.

  28. dicentra says:

There’s a strong demographic for that sort of nonsense.

    Even THEY aren’t that gullible.

  29. Dave J says:

I agree, that it is probably that “Smart Power” provided surface to air weapons to the Libyan rebels …which turned out to be AQ, which turns out will spread them around the ME or further. Once a non military aircraft is targeted, Hillary will no longer be able to use or justify her “what difference at this point does it make” line.

  30. sdferr says:

    something else.

That’s standing in plain sight. It’s policy, or as someone else said once upon a time, it’s error turtles all the way down.

  31. Pablo says:

Why abandon Stevens? Why not do the Big Rescue Thing when the American ambassador is victimized by Libyan thugs on the anniversary of 9/11…

Maybe they needed to scrub the place before any Dudley Do-Rights showed up and started nosing around.

because attacking us on 9/11 is What They Do?

Why do you hate all the Muslims, Islamophobe?

  32. SBP says:

“Why not do the Big Rescue Thing when the American ambassador is victimized by Libyan thugs”

Magickal Unicorn Prince was “unavailable”, and they don’t want to say where he actually was/what he was actually doing. It’s a given that any military operation of that type is going to feature Magickal Unicorn Prince on the tube demonstrating that he’s IN COMMAND, but they couldn’t arrange that, for whatever reason.

  33. Here’s a speculation: the L.A. Times or whoever has gotten fed up and is threatening to release that video of the little god-king praising that jihadi guy.

  34. SBP says:

    NPR whore Ari Shapiro tweets:

Spotted: @joshtpm @CapehartJ @ezraklein & other lefty columnists headed into the West Wing as a group. POTUS coffee? Carney meeting? Anyone?

    https://twitter.com/arishapiro/status/336925791155789824

New Journolist marching orders, no doubt.

Shapiro’s probably upset that he wasn’t invited to the party.

  35. leigh says:

Hubs has a theory that the Prince of Lies is a drunk of the falling down variety and that factors into the “where the president was is irrelevant” talk and that his cabal inner circle knows all about this and keeps mum.

  36. Maybe he was chooming.

  37. Heh. “Prince Chooming.”

  38. SBP says:

Drunk, coked-out, engaged in some form of sexual activity that not even Nancy Pelosi or Dianne Feinstein would be down with.

Choose one or more of the above.

  39. leigh says:

    I like it.

  40. Libby says:

Obama was whacked out on drugs (a habit “Ulsterman” has asserted) or he was off somewhere unknown with a “friend.” Was Reggie Love in DC that night?

There’s also the speculation that this was a planned hostage taking to set up an exchange for releasing the blind sheik.

  41. leigh says:

I think Barry is asexual or metrosexual. He certainly doesn’t act like the missus and he have it goin’ on.

  42. Libby says:

Well…over at HillBuzz they’ve covered the rumors of Chicago bathhouse sightings and Rev. Wright’s down-low men’s group. There’s Obama’s usual golf partners (young male staffers, Sam Kass) and how it’s always an all day trip. And then there’s former “body man” Reggie Love, who started working for Obama when he was a Senator and Michelle remained in Chicago with the kids. Let’s just say it wouldn’t be all that shocking if Obama came out.

  43. dicentra says:

    #ObamaScandalMovies

Watch for the lame Progg attempt to redeem the hashtag, and see how many other frustrated Proggs retweet it.

In the vain attempt to not be pwned — again — by the starboard side’s hashtag prowess.

  44. mondamay says:

Does anyone think that Obama would be seriously hurt by coming out? People have been programmed to rejoice in this kind of news, and never mind the adultery angle.

  45. John Bradley says:

engaged in some form of sexual activity that not even Nancy Pelosi or Dianne Feinstein would be down with

    “Palomino! Palomino!”

  46. SBP says:

“Does anyone think that Obama would be seriously hurt by coming out?”

If it was just coming out as gay, probably not.

That’s why I specified something that not even Nancy Pelosi could get behind.

  47. leigh says:

Hillbuzz’s source on the bathhouse thing is dead and was of questionable character while he was living. I can’t say I would be surprised if he hits for both teams, but I really do think he’s just not all that interested in men or women.

As for his friends and golf partners all being guys: he’s an Arab and a Muslim They have no use for women except to provide some offspring. He has two kids, like a good progg, and now he’s free to ignore the missus.

  48. SBP says:

“I think Barry is asexual or metrosexual.”

I think it’s something pretty far off the beaten path.

  49. leigh says:

I’m not going to ask, Spies.

  50. SBP says:

Let’s just say I wouldn’t let him babysit my kids, if I had any.

  51. He had sex with the dog before he ate it. #ScrewedThePooch

  52. leigh says:

I was thinking tots, as well Spies. He was raised up by pedophile “Uncle Frank” after all.

  53. leigh says:

Come to think of it, in many of the photo ops with kids, he’ll have a chubby little black boy with him. He was a chubby little boy, so maybe there’s something to that?

  54. Libby says:

Yeah, I take sites like HillBuzz and Ulsterman with a grain of salt, but there is something “off” about Obama.
Still think there’s a reason why we don’t yet know his whereabouts on the evening of 9/11.

  55. SBP says:

    Right, leigh. “Uncle Frank”.

  56. BigBangHunter says:

Oh, that’s nothing more than the little god-king surrounding himself with things that remind him of himself. When told that his administration is a house of mirrors, Teh Won replies “Don’t I wish!”

  59. Libby says:

Found the quote from Maxine Waters (h/t Pat Dollard) about Obama’s super db from back in February: http://tinyurl.com/bcy3wu6

“The President has put in place an organization with the kind of database that no one has ever seen before in life,” Representative Maxine Waters told Roland Martin on Monday.

“That’s going to be very, very powerful,” Waters said. “That database will have information about everything on every individual on ways that it’s never been done before and whoever runs for President on the Democratic ticket has to deal with that. They’re going to go down with that database and the concerns of those people because they can’t get around it. And he’s [President Obama] been very smart. It’s very powerful what he’s leaving in place.”

Also found at GatewayPundit: Sen. Enzi mentioned at the IRS hearing that the IRS had asked churches to provide lists of their parishioners.

  60. Page 2 of Simon is dynamite:

  61. geoffb says:

At the end of the link in Pablo’s 12:36pm is this:

PJ Media recognizes this is largely hearsay, but the two diplomats sounded quite credible. One of them was in a position of responsibility in a dangerous area of Iraq in 2004.

Then we have the piece from yesterday on Raymond Maxwell:

Maxwell, who served as deputy assistant secretary of state for Near Eastern affairs from August 2011 until his removal last December, following tours in Iraq and Syria,
    […]
But [Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Beth] Jones was not disciplined in any way following the release of the report, nor was the principal deputy assistant secretary of State at NEA, Liz Dibble, who is slated to receive a plush post as the deputy chief of mission at the U.S. Embassy in London this summer. In the DS bureau, the assistant secretary, the principal deputy, and the deputy assistant all lost their jobs. In the NEA bureau, only Maxwell was asked to leave.

Jones and Dibble were responsible for security in Libya, Maxwell and three State Department officials said. What’s more, when Maxwell was promoted to his DAS position in August 2011, most responsibility for Libya was carved out of his portfolio, which also included Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia. Although Maxwell did some work on Libya, all security-related decisions were handled by Dibble and Jones, according to the three officials.

Could Maxwell be one of the diplomats mentioned in the PJM piece? If so could the meeting at the WH with all the little Journalistas be one where as much dirt, true or false, is to be released before any of the diplomats come forward to testify?

It is strange that just as he was appointed to be DAS, Libya alone was “carved out of his portfolio” and given over to his two higher ups to deal with, Jones and Dibble.

The only thing that could terrify Obama aids is if, on the night Benghazi happened, Obama had some sort of complete mental breakdown…as in, curled up in a corner, thumb in his mouth…and it happened in front of several people who will not allow themselves to be used as scapegoats.

Obama is a front man that was groomed for his position years ago. (anyone else wonder why, as a member of the Illinois legislature, Obama voted “present” so many times?) Yeah, I’m calling Manchurian. Anyway, and I cannot point to any specific instances, but there were a couple of times during the election that, to me, looked like Obama was trying to throw the election.

Obama is, more than likely, not mentally tough enough, nor smart enough, for the job or the pressure that goes with his job. Hell, Obama knows nothing about work, anyway, coddled as he was throughout his life.

People can call Biden an idiot all they want, but the man has survived a lot of years in Washington. Anyone want to guess if Biden is opportunistic enough to see if he can force Obama out?

  71. sdferr says:

  74. serr8d says:

Oh, some waaaaay OT stuff that might be of interest, or not…

Los Angeles Deputy DA John Patrick Frey aka @Patterico posted unredacted documents (.PDF) at his blog revealing Nadia Naffe’s personal and medical information, then treated Twitter as his courtroom to cross-examine her (.PDF). As a result, her credit was ruined by identity thieves and her hiring prospects were dimmed by Google results. Frey did this in retaliation for Naffe blowing a whistle on the illegal and unethical activities of his friend James O’Keefe after he tried to rape her. Naffe has been trying to sue Frey ever since. Recently a federal appeals court overrode a lower court’s dismissal, meaning that Naffe’s case against Frey will continue for at least a year. She has also succeeded in getting the California Bar Association’s Audit and Review Unit to examine Mr. Frey’s activities, which may lead to his being disbarred.

Won’t link the little left-twerp’s site. You know how to find it, right?

  75. happyfeet says:

that is a very very distorted account of what happened Mr. serr8d

  76. serr8d says:

    You are correct, ‘feets.

But underlying those undeniably distorted lefty overlays are unavoidable truths: that someone who should’ve known better when these things were carefully explained to him, went about his ‘business as usual: conducting overzealous prosecutorial (mis)conducts.

I’d liken his now-characteristic behaviors to walking into a minefield blindfolded whilst whistling Anna Karenina.

  77. Prosecutorial discretion does no good for an indiscreet prosecutor.
