    From Wikipedia:

The Omega Psi Phi (ΩΨΦ) Fraternity was founded on Friday, November 17, 1911, at Howard University in Washington, D.C. The founders of the fraternity were three students: Edgar Amos Love, Oscar James Cooper, and Frank Coleman and their first faculty advisor Ernest Everett Just. Omega Psi Phi was the first black fraternal organization founded at Historically Black colleges and universities…

So what is it Jeff? Golf with Michael Jordan before you head out of town? …or is this going to be some political reflection on Vernon Jordan?

  12. SeanH says:

    …the hell?

  13. You’d better not be saying goodbye, in this cryptic way of yours.

Turing = costs, as in The costs in witholding free ice cream could get…costly.

  15. Joe says:

If this were truly the Omega post, the earth would be shaking, trumpets sounding, pestilence, famine, end of days, etc. etc.

Whatever you call it, until you’ve actually experienced the Omega, you shouldn’t be making any Omega posts. So that makes you a chicken-Omega-poster*, Jeff.

*Or insert some less lame-sounding but equally pretentious observation here.

  16. Fred says:

    Oh, brother.

Who pissed in Jeff’s Wheaties this time?

    Jeee-zus.

  17. Robert says:

    Jeff is an omegaphobe.

  19. Russ from Winterset says:

Omega?  Where’s all the light-sensitive zombies?  And the hot black chick?  And the porn movie quality theme music?  Your Omega Post isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, Jeff.

  20. Hoodlumman says:

It’s just the last post of the day folks.  Have a splendid evening.

  27. TallDave says:

Hey, I just noticed Protein Wisdom was featured in the lastest The New Libertarian.

    RE: The New Libertarian

It’s not in the latest volume, it’s in Volume 3.  Page 12.

  36. Jeff Goldstein says:

    Ah. Thanks.

  37. Beck says:

Hey look, I found the Alpha Post.

  38. 7.292115×10^-5 rad/s

Turing word: ago.  As in, it wasn’t all that long ago that I was unaware that this existed.  What made the Earth go around before these guys got together?  Before money, I mean?

  39. TallDave says:

Sorry, it was the latest one I saw listed there at the time I read it.

  40. Joe says:

Actually, Beck, that was the creatical.com bog, early predecessor to the protean.net bog, which combined (over several aeons in a petrie dish) with some wiseguy.org amino acids to finally form protein strings, and hence became … the protein wisdom blog. Sort of like the cartesian dualist blue-plate special of the ‘net.

Yes, I’ve been drinking. Why do you ask ?
