We braved the winter storm today and drove the 62 miles up to Fort Morgan for the Mustang Classic, which Satchel won, pinning all three of his opponents (the eventual second, third, and fourth place finishers; his pin in the finals took less than a minute).
Last weekend, Satch won the Eagle Open in Greeley, marking the first time he’s won back-to-back open tournament championships. Next week, we’re heading to Eaton, Colorado, where Satchel will try to make it three in row.
— Although I’m pretty sure I just jinxed that in the worst way possible.
Huzzahs to the champ! And here’s hoping for match video footage to come!
Atta Boy!
I like the pins. Those work much better in tournaments, save energy for later.
Just be careful not to get over agressive against a good wrestler.
Congrats and keep them coming.
Way to go Satch!
Buy everyone a beer.
Congratulations young man!
And to you too, slightly less young, proud papa.
Cool!
Know what would be cooler?
Video.
(hey, you’re the one raised expectations…)
Way to go, Satch!
Maybe he should wrestle some IOC members, in which tapping out means wrestling goes back on the docket.
Congratulations Satch, soon you’ll be able to paper your room with brackets.
Nice job, Satch! Keep up the good work. And mix in some shooting competitions.
Good job, Satch.
Fantastic work, Satch. Keep doing!
Bravo, Satch!
The “don’t hate the player, hate the game” look on his face is the perfect capper.
“Just punchin’ the clock. Just punchin’ the clock.”
