One owes it to oneself to really dig into the mind of Mr. Hannity. Because one cannot be a true Republican unless one understands what makes Mr. Hannity tick.
These forays into transcribing my omniscience as regards what is happening in Mr. Hannity’s head at any given time is doing the Party a great service. A great service.
And Hugh Hewitt isn’t a walking talking points and cheerleader for the same party??
Last fall, they floated the Bush guest worker (really another amnesty) program around. “Let’s have an amnesty then we will tighten up the border and enforce the laws”. Bullshit. They said that the last two times they shoved it down our throats. It has destroyed California. Hewitt strong armed and insulted anyone who objected to the idea of another amnesty. His arguments were/are intellectually dishonest. I lost a lot of respect for him.
And one thing about Hannity, he has done a lot of work to raise money for the troops and their families. So, sneer all you want.
I’m not sneering at all (speaking for myself.) I enjoy his enthusiasm, and certainly appreciate all he does for the military (hubby is retired military, and his brother is in Baghdad right now.) But, I never tune in to him to hear sophisticated conservative arguments. He’s a cheerleader – on the same side, but not someone I’d want leading point. I LOVED his (radio) interview of Janine Garofalo, but at the same time lamented that I would most likely never hear a serious spanking by the likes of a Victor David Hanson, or someone of his ilk.
You’re absolutely right, ll. Because I’ve never criticized Hewitt for the same thing.
Tell you what: draw up a list of people it’s okay for me to criticize and pass it along to me. Then, before I put up a post, I’ll run the post by you to see if it meets the minimum standard of fairness (eg, Why a Samuel Beckett play? Why not skewer Tennessee Williams?).
Sound good? Because as a CITIZEN JOURNALIST, I am nothing if not a giver…
You’re assuming I care why you or anyone else doesn’t listen to him. I don’t. No one is holding a gun to anyone’s head. Obviously, a lot of people do like him. I see all this criticism of him at the moment as snobbishness. You say you don’t want him “leading point.” I don’t need anyone leading point for me, frankly. Including, Hewitt. These commentary shows are merely entertainment. They are not gurus.
Oh, you got me CITIZEN JOURNALIST! I have been negligent in reading every word you have ever written on every subject as long as you have been blogging. You found me out. I beg of you: Don’t punish me too harshly. Puleeeezzz!
Is this about those Ruth Chris’ commercials?
He loves steak, but also vegetables. If you know what I mean. . .

How much of a compassionate conservative can he be if he reviles youth in Asia?
Sean Hannity is a cheerleader for the republican party. Very enthusiastic, and he means well. But, you know ..

p.s. Why a Samuel Beckett play? Do you hate us that much??? Is this blowback from the canadian affair?
”You’re assuming I care why you or anyone else doesn’t listen to him. I don’t.”
No, I’m really not. I’m writing posts that amuse me. That’s all. You are free to be amused or not.
Keep up with the Beckett and you will be hearing from AI.
cool – tres chic, ultra hip right wing white guys!
is the blogosphere great or what?
Sure. Better than steak, even. But not as great as the GOP.
Hehehe Jeff – you repugs sure are clever!
Clever, well-groomed, in love with Jesus… We’ve got the whole package!
