Vladimir: “Look, here comes Godot now!”
Estragon: “Yup. Right on time, too! And the magnificent bastard even brought a twelve pack…!”
Chips too…HEY UNIVERSE, THANKS!
I wouldn’d mind a nice corned beef sandwich right now, Godot. If you’re listening.
Would the play just end there, Jeff or would the audience have to sit and wait for Pozzo and Lucky to just cross the stage without stopping?
What you see is the whole play, Sean. Anything else risks being too heavy handed.
That makes sense. Heavy-handed optimism would be a bit silly.
How about if Tom Stoppard were an existential optimist?
Rosencrantz: Hey Hamlet, you’re aware that your uncle’s a real rat bastard, right?
Hamlet: Yeah, Denmark’s rotten. Let’s go party in London.
Guildenstern: It’s Miller time!
Krapp’s last tape? “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.”
Jeff G. is to Samuel Becket
as
Tom Stoppard is to Shakespeare
…
You’ve gone too far. Godot showing up with beer is just plain heresy.

Vladimir: “Yeah, but it’s Iron City.”
“You ever watch light theatre?”
One of the two thieves was saved… A reasonable percentage, ay, Gogo?
Well, it’s better than Beckett as Hugh Hefner. “And look at the rack on his girlfriend!”
