…so I need to get rid of a few DVDs…
$6.50 each, 2 for $12, 3 for $16 (includes first class shipping):
Capturing the Friedmans
Halloween
Four Letter Words
Get Shorty
Godsend
The Final Countdown
Identity
Jackass…the Movie
Kill By Inches
Mad Max
God Told Me To
Lost and Delirious
Seabiscuit
I also have 2 copies of a collectible edition of Halloween that includes a film cell from the movie in a little stand. Don’t think it’s available anywhere anymore. I’m going to keep one, but if anyone’s interested in the other, I’ll let it go for $15.
Also offering “The Sopranos” Season 1 for $55.
And finally, if any of you are serious film buffs and/or memorabilia collectors, I have 2 copies of the Creative Arts edition of The Exorcist, featuring a senitype signed by Linda Blair. I believe only 500 of these were produced. I’m keeping one to give to my kid when he gets older, but if I get rid of the other one that’ll clear up a lot of shelf space. $125.00, includes shipping (it’s a big box, roughly 12” x 10” x 5″).
Email me or drop a note in the comments.
… what TYPE of box? Cause I ain’t paying $125 for cardboard.
Cardboard. A really nice set, honestly: book, lobby cards, prints, a CD soundtrack, and the DVD.
Sorry, Jefe, no can do. Truth is, I’m in the same boat as you. I’d love my trim my collection, but who am I going to get on bite on Martin Lawrence’s Black Knight and Caddyshack II?
Sheesh…this is why people should give Amazon gift certificates and not DVDs.
The Godsend was playing on Elvira, Mistress of the Dark’s show when I was a kid, and the field behind my house caught on fire. The whole neighborhood was in danger of burning down.
I didn’t dig the movie anyway.
What, no porn?
…I’ll take “Seabiscuit” if it’s in letterbox format.
It is indeed.

Check out the DVDs for loan at your local library.
Most of the ones on your “must see” list are available thru inter-library loans where I live.
I can reserve DVDs online and have them sent to my local library, there is no limit on how many dvds I can have out at a time, and I am finally getting something i want for my tax dollar.
Everyone might consider donating the DVDs to the public library, and using the ItsDeductible program to figure ‘em in their taxes next year. That’ll spread the joy around.
Oh, and rewinding a bit, we were talking about mangabeys the other week…
Sanity,
Great idea, thanks. I’m not worried about the tax thing—that only matters if you itemize. But, I’d rather do that than just toss them.
I think Denver Public Library just quit stocking DVD’s since they were getting stolen so quickly.
