“Sacramento resident kills would-be robber; 3 wounded in gunfight”

I wonder if the family protected themselves — and the other children over for a sleepover — with a musket?  Wouldn’t want to have the capability of having more than 10 cartridges at your disposal against 3 or 4 armed intruders who collectively likely had at a minimum 30 rounds, right?

I mean, who needs that?

I remember at some school function (this long ago when my kids were still kids) or other some mom sniffing that she would never let her child “sleep over” at any house where she know the parent was a gun owner.

I remember thinking I’d never let me kids sleep over her home least some perp kick in the door and there was no way to protect them.

    She’s armed too.

So, how do Mother Jones and all the other anti-gun organizations score this one? After all, the home owner got shot too.

California has a law against magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. I have a winter home in AZ and a Summer home in WA and I have to have 15 round Glock magazines at each home and travel with my Glock locked in a secure case in the trunk of my car.

In California the mere possession of a magazine that holds more than 10 rounds is a felony. It makes no difference if it is in the gun or not. It actually makes no difference if you have a gun with you or not. As long as you possess a magazine capable of holding more than 10 rounds, you are committing a felony.

I am a former Deputy Sheriff in Washington state and have a concealed weapons permit in both Washington and Arizona but in California I am unarmed.

You need to get a job with NBC.

anchovy, that sounds like a good reason to not go to California.

If my father didn’t live there, I doubt I’d go there any more. They are turning it into a tyrannical hellhole.

I would like every gun control advocate to have to say how many additional deaths they would tolerate in order to ensure that another kindergarten massacre will “never” happen again. Their ultimate goal of confiscating all firearms from law abiding citizens will not make guns disappear, it will just make more citizens defenseless. This is America and you are free to pursue your Utopian goals but I would just like a little honesty. I want to know how much more rape and murder of innocent law abiding citizens you would tolerate for the children. What about domestic violence? How many women need to be beaten for the children. Because I know its all about the children.

I’m not holding my breath waiting for the answer.
