From Websense:
The site you submitted has been reviewed and the categorization has been changed to Message Boards and Clubs. This update should be available in the next publication of the database.
How they could “review” a site written by a single person and conclude it a “message board” or “club” I have no idea, but so long as it gets me unblocked, I’m willing to live with it for now…
Anyway, please visit Websense, take a moment to register, and request that https://www.proteinwisdom.com be moved back to the news category.
A club. Cool. Can we get a secret handshake, or something?
Your site still shows as ‘adult content’ in Websense… 09:00a PT
You won’t get filtered now. My blog (and Zombyboy’s, and several others I checked) are all Message Boards and Clubs. Kinda sucks when they call you a club, sounds childish, and sucks even more when Instapundit is listed as news.
Meant to finish with: But it will get you unblocked.
You gotta look at it from the perspective of the computer.
The spider who scans your site doesn’t care that 100% of the text on the “front page” is written by Jeff Goldstein. It sees links (i.e., to comments pages) as being seamless extensions of the page. Viewed that way, 99% of Protein Wisdom is written by people other than Jeff – quite a number of people, in fact.
So whoever reviewed your site actually ran a spider program to run its little feelers all over your carefully crafted pose, and did a mechanized analysis that indicates this is a multiperson site.
Turing word: “several”
Well, I did something. Not sure if it went through since I don’t have an account with them, but I gave it a try.
Precisely why leave the filtering duties to sentient adults, angry unpaid tranny.
But I suppose if a few people are harmed in the fight against verbal evil, that’s the kind of collateral damage we’re willing to take. For the children.
I thought of that in the shower, then AUT posted it. If you didn’t have comments you’d probably be a news site and get through everyone’s filter. As it is, you’ll get through most, but some people will block you, not for content, but becuase they don’t like employees wasting time on message boards.
My traffic has actually been halved by this nonsense, which affects my advertising. Yet another example of nanny overstepping hurting commerce and protecting adults from their own choices for the good of…nobody.
Well, Jefe, that’s what you get for emulating that purveyor of smut and low humor—Laura Bush.
News? Seriously?
Spam word: “you” as in “You have got to be kidding”
Well, I don’t know what the choices are. But something that prevents the site from being blocked.
If they have moved you to message boards you’ll be good for 99% of the world tomorrow. I’ve never had anyone complain my page was blocked, and some of my friends work in offices with the most uptight IT assholes around.
News? LMFAO.
“Breaking: ‘me’ laughed his fucking ass off today in reaction to a claim made on the blog protein wisdom.”
There you go. News.
hehehehe.
Welcome to the club!
I think this is a fun club and also they let gurlz in.
The Gurlz Fun Club. Sounds like a Snoop Dog rap.
“The Protein Wisdom Gurlz Fun Club”. Ok, now it sounds like a porn site again.
I just tried it and it says “adult content.” Are you holding back Jeff? Do you have more, unreleased pics of Jeff Gannon’s GAY COCK?! I MUST SEE!
I couldn’t get on because my old bookmark didn’t work and I wasn’t redirected.
swimdad
P.S. This wouldn’t be classified as a message board if all these assholes didn’t post comments.
