I may be nitpicking, but I have another problem with the ad: I don’t like the cut to Romney at the end. If this is an issue ad, then keep the focus on the issue: Obama fell down on the job, left our people to die, and lied to us. Perhaps the producers put Romney’s picture at the end as a way of showing an alternative, but I found it a little distracting. For one, I don’t know that Romney wants his face associated with the Sept 11th debacle. For another, I don’t want squishy middle voters to write off the message as just so much election propaganda. Just hit them hard with the facts of the matter, and let it sink in. I think the ad would be better served with an ending along the lines of “America deserves better. Obama must go.”
