I don’t really do polls —

— I’m more a puristy blog that caters to True Believers, concentrating on foundational assumptions and the nature and trajectory of both constitutional law and the civil society as a natural and predictable offshoot of whatever ideology happens to be informing our epistemology or controlling our use of language. And also haikus.

It’s not terribly sexy — and it’s certainly not very popular, I realize — but then, it does have an enormous cock and it drives a tricked out Harley, if that kind of thing matters to you.

At any rate — and with that disclaimer laid out — here are some things to consider: while Nate Silver still has Obama ahead by over 2 points in Ohio, the Ohio newspapers polling average show it a dead heat. And given the fact that GOP voters are far more energized this election cycle, the Obama team is going to have to fraud in a whole lot of votes to pull out Ohio — particularly if the Libya story continues to boil over and the President is unable to push the answers off until after the election, despite the best efforts of the mainstream press to shield him in the runup to November 6. (Ironically, I believe that after that, they’ll hit him hard; taking down Nixon made a lot of people famous and set the narrative for the free press as a protection against the powerful. Taking down Obama in a similar way would keep the Presidency in Democrat hands and help the mainstream press reclaim the absurd position that it is in fact not heavily biased toward the liberal / progressive viewpoint. In short, it is exactly the kind of cynical thing leftists do to other leftists when they sense one of the herd is gimpy and bleeding — and the move will make them personally stronger. For the Greater Good, you see.)

Meanwhile, The Des Moines register has endorsed Romney, a shock, I suspect, to an Obama team who continues to believe that their attempts to tie Romney and Republicans to the end of liberated and protected vaginas in the US is the surest way to capture reelection.

Seems that some women are starting to think that if Obama won’t even act to prevent the deaths of diplomats and Navy SEALs, there’s a pretty good chance he’ll renege on his promise to keep their cooters healthy and safe and clean and stuffed with all flavor of free contraceptives.

Which, good for them.

Does Obama pull in over 201 electoral college tallies? At this point, I doubt it.

  2. Ernst Schreiber says:

Most polls are assuming a Democrat advantage similiar to ’08. If the electorate looks more like ’10, it won’t even be close.

I’m deeply annoyed about the MSM blackout on Libya. Thus, I’m proposing that Thursday 11/1 be declared “Everybody Blog About Benghazi Day” with all appropriate Twitter/Facebook/Radio tie ins. We deserve answers before 11/6. The stonewalling must stop and if that means storming the media’s gates, then by God, let’s do it. Let’s wreck their best efforts.

    – The Progs are at that point of institutionalized denial where they are convinced if they all turn theie Budweiser bottle labels facing forwatd their team will hit the 65 yard field goal in the last few seconds of the game.

    – Its not weird if it works, and if it doesn’t the vast armada of trial lawyers are ready to go into post-election attack mode in a mighty and protracted campaign to prove the GOP illegally denyed the Dems fair and proper voter fraud, and thereby ‘stole’ the election, just like 2000.

Heh, and refuse to permit the Obama media their precious right to their contempt of us all? Heavens forefend! They hate (with the righteous hate of the just and pure) and they must be allowed to express that hate. That way we’ll know precisely whose side they’re taking ‘twixt ourselves and the jihadi enemy (who truly don’t exist).

Offered for the comedic value of the headline alone: Cutter: Des Moines Register endorsement not based ‘in reality’

Would Cutter’s questioning the sanity or veracity of ordinary Iowan newspaper editorialists tend to bolster her efforts to persuade Iowans to take up her man(child)’s banner? She’s a winner, is Cutter. Stick with her and her like Barry, you’ll go far.

    No cooter, no piece.

Thing is, sdferr, Mitt Romney owns the Des Moines Register…or something.

Watching the Obama campaign go into a tailspin in these last days is going to be a lot of fun. Not nearly enough to compensate for the damage they’ve done, but I’m at the point where I’ll cheer if my enemy gets so much as a hangnail.

The Valerie Jarrett Administration pre-figured in a cartoon, with a cameo appearance from B. Obama toward the end.

As to the Des Moines Register>Gannett>Bain marching orders story, at least the Proggs demonstrate their own firm grasp of the concept of marching orders, a grasp honestly obtained through years of studious practice, we might suppose.

  11. beemoe says:

The Register endorsement for Romney also came days after the editorial board criticized the president for speaking with them of the record. The Obama campaign later released a transcript of the conversation with the paper.

    What the fuck?

Do these idiots have the first fucking clue how anything works?

They’re more attunded to the theoretical and abstract than they are to the practical and concrete.

  13. McGehee says:

If, as the proglodytes theorize, Mitt Romney really does own everything, isn’t it only fair that he be allowed to run it?

Oh, wait — that would require that they recognize the right of a property owner to control his own property.
