When you can lie to the American public, and insist your lie is the truth simply because it’s you who is uttering it, you might be a malignant narcissist.
And yes, you have my permission to read that in your best Jeff Foxworthy voice.
Incidentally, Roe v. Wade likely doesn’t hang in the balance with a court headed by John Roberts, who clings to stare decisis like Michael Moore to a rack of barbecued ribs.
But let’s just, for the sake of argument, take his assertion at face value: if Roe v Wade is overturned, is abortion suddenly outlawed everywhere? Or will states get to pass laws regarding abortion — it not being a Constitutional right, regardless of how many emanations of penumbras you wish to cling to.
Like Michael Moore to a box of Snowballs.
The truth is, nearly every state will keep abortion legal. But what they are likely to do is place restrictions on the practice.
Remember legal, safe, and rare? That used to be the Democrats’ position on abortion. But with President Sure You Can Still Kill ’em If They Come Out Alive, things have taken a turn for the absolutely morbid.
And yet pro-lifers are cast as “extremists,” while the enlightened One thinks that doctors shouldn’t provide care to babies born alive after a botched attempt to stab them in the brain with scissors and then suck them out of the mother.
Up is down. Black is white. Richard Lewis is funny.
Since we rarely get liberals here, I’m going to bring a comment here from one from facedouche. This is how the marginally informed view the conservative view on abortion/etc. It was a response to my idea that Paul Ryan’s view and what should happen if he is VP isn’t as John Stewart presents it on his little show:
Well, I am just glad that there is finally someone to stand up and force all of these uneducated girls to have the babies that these same people made sure they didn’t know how to prevent (no sex ed or contraception in schools) so that once they are born, these same people can abandon them and not give two shits if they are being fed or taken care of. Someone needed to do it – the poor people in this country are getting way too cocky with all of their demands of food, health care and other basic human rights. Fuck that! We have rich people to give tax breaks to!
“Since we rarely get liberals here . . .”
And you’re going to restore our brain cells how, exactly?
Where, exactly, are all of these teenagers who do not understand the well-established relationship between intercourse and pregnancy?
Mammogram…sonogram… the dif’s above my paygrade /Soetoro.
Doesn’t matter because monthly birth control for these meandering, government school-addled automatons of the progg state costs more than an iPhone.
And their folks? Well.
QED.

It’s me as “Libby Goodheart” trolling the Mourdock non-troversy and playing “how many angels can dance on the head of a pin” with some Scholastic Feminists. A good time was had by all, and by “all” I mean me.

Sorry.
Carin, what is your Facebook ‘friend’ getting all huffy about? Babies are the new accessory. Especially if you get them in different colors.

Well, you know liberals love those stupid, stupid poor folks who need the government (through schools) to tell them how life works.
Because they’re soo stupid, you see.
Bless their hearts.

But … the stupid people Leigh. see previous comment.
Heh, jes ribbin’ ya Car in.
But hey, about that “surrender your (metaphorical) virginity to Barack” ad would you venture a speculation on a question?
In the manifold universe of women’s individual emotional regards concerning losing their virginity, what proportion — given a binary thumbs up or thumbs down — consider that event in their lives on the whole a successful undertaking, and what proportion judge their judgment to have been deficient to their intentions? (This with a view to the question whether the ad may entail a net negative recollection among women, rather than the presumptive net positive it seems to assume as a matter of course.)
Well, I would say the event, for me, was underwhelming. It was a mistake with some rather disastrous results. My judgment was poor, and intentions? Who knows.
Similarly to ‘what’s her name’s’ virgin vote for Obama.
Someone just today informed me that white Rethuglican white male male white Rethuglicans, in conversations with God, have determined that rape pregnancies are, and I quote, legitimate.
You can ask them except not really — so speaking of context and intent … you lousy bitterclingers.
And speaking of the obstetrical-slash-RIGHTS! slippery slope (so to speak) … you lousy bitterclingers.
They have the debate about sewed up.
I’m sure, Jhoward, that if you ask liberals they would inform you that rethuglians almost prefer rape babies.
Shoot, that’s more empirical than speculative Car in. It’s what the other womens would say that’s the wonder.
Slightly OT from reading through Alec’s journey into the abyss linked above: an awfully lot of those wimmin who are writing on that site make a huge deal out of being atheist. Indeed, they will mention it in every post as if it is a magic sword and shield to say Really Stupid Shit™. I wonder why that is? Well, not really since I think they are trying to convince themselves that their purported atheism somehow makes them ‘more than’ those beady-eyed believers out there. Smarter, they suppose.
They suppose wrongly.
I would say the majority would prefer a do-over for their first time.
Well, once you’ve taken the position that all heteronormative sex is rape, doesn’t that make all babies rape babies, by definition?
Excepting test tube and turkey baster babies of course. That’s perfectly normal in liberal lala land.
<i.I would say the majority would prefer a do-over for their first time.
Amen to that, my sister.
Millions of women should descend on PP’s around the country asking for mammograms…so many that they’re forced to take out ads and issue statements saying Obama was lying.
Turn this against him.

“I’m sure, Jhoward, that if you ask liberals they would inform you that rethuglians almost prefer rape babies.” I can think of several that changed the course of western civilization, that given the opportunity, I would take in a heartbeat. WAM comes to mind.
“I would say the majority would prefer a do-over for their first time.” Many men as well. A good reason to wait for the right person?
WAM=Mozart

They did. Someone organized it, I heard on Levin yesterday.
They were all turned away.
Reggie Love say “obama does ballograms”
– It all makes sense if you simply assume Jug ears thinks mammograms are something like candygrams, except with better inscriptions and more nipple!
“Haltermark, when you care enough to support the very best!”
Jeez, you guy’s are dense. A mammogram is just a breathalyzer. Like if you have asthma. Only for chicks. You’ve seen the NFL in pink, right?
