“11 ways the U.S. economy still ‘isn’t fixed’”

Good overview, addressing such things as the increase in debt as a share of GDP; an historically slow jobs recovery; a drop in US competitive status as noted by the World Economic Forum; a decline in real hourly earnings, and so on.

But Mr Pethokoukis misses number 12 — and it’s a rather significant omission, in my estimation:  namely, Obama is still President.

Other than that, though.  Nice work.

The bombs are dropping all around. It gives me hope that America is not suicidal.

  2. Ernst Schreiber says:

I don’t think Mr. Pethokoukis uses “fix” the same way Obama does.

Sorta like how the plan for the second term is to finish what he started in the first.

If only the other problems were as simple to fix as #12…

    #13: Bill Clinton says so.

…..In other news….While the FDA and the agra department is busy running how-to ads in Mexico, instructing and encouraging illegal immigrents on how to collect food stamps and any one of the other wekfare benefits available, no questions asked, from the 83 Federal programs, we may have just discovered why the GOP didn’t feel it was neccessay to heavily fund Akin’s campaign:

“Whistle-blower audio: Sen. Claire McCaskill’s husband cut business deals in Senate Dining Room.”

    – More bombs. We’re going to have to start calling him Obomba.

    – I guess because there weren’t any dead CIA operatives or ambassadors in this event they didn’t need a cover up.

    – Your tax dollars in action. or Bin Laden is dead but GM is just debt ridden:

“GM, having lost 6.8 billion this past year in over-seas operations, are seeing slowdowns at several plants in the US as well. Workers are so bored they’ve taken to playing cards to while away the time while unfinished auto’s sit idly on the assemble lines.”

    – Which is probably just as well. Why ship something that will just catch on fire anyway.
