Humm, the ad could now add some timeline on rejected requests for more security while their security was being downsized. Actually, the ad should lead with that…
In an extremely rough nutshell my takeaway of the Obama defenders before the House Committee today was this: “Overwhelming attacks can’t be prevented. Men die in war, even in wars which we refuse to admit are wars. So stuff it. We’ve nothing further to say, and nothing to be answerable for.”
You forgot to add, sdferr, “and if we want to scapegoat an American citizen while we come up with a plausible way to tell you why we needn’t answer for our own incompetence, then we should have that right. We are, after all, important people.”
Quite true, and was certainly an element of Amb. Kennedy’s testimony, if not of the lowly logistician, Mrs. Lamb-to-slaughter — so much so in fact, that at times it appeared part of Amb. Kennedy’s mission in testimony was precisely to provoke outrage. He succeeded at that, though little else.
– BTW, if this ultimately makes its way up the bureaucratic ladder to Hildebeast, it will be interesting to see how slick Willey reacts if Bummblefuck asks her to take it in the ass for the team.
Y’know, not one single member of the Democrats on the House Committee today upbraided the administration for misleading the people of the US about the cause of the attack on the Benghazi CIA installations (there was no “Consulate” there as far as I can see), not one. They’re all lying scum, content to provide cover to other lying scum, without a care in the world what they do to their own reputations. This is one sad-assed country to put up with such shit.
The Obama administration seems in some respects with this “video outrage” dismissal of their security unpreparedness in Benghazi to be modeling the Bush administration’s “government-wide” — indeed, international security services wide! — assessment that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction development projects underway, if not stocks bunkered in the ground, which in turn was only one among the various arguments the Bush admin used justify the decision to go to war in Iraq and which the political Left was content to pretend was the ONLY justification the Bush people used, and used according to the Left, as a cover to seize Iraq’s oil.
They’ve so warped their minds that they now think they can press the video as a product of some spectral “intelligence community” product, a “product” by which they were deceived, innocent creatures that they are — rather than an intentional choice in lieu of telling the simple truth (they were caught unawares because they don’t understand the enemy), a story which began in the White House and has been propounded from there outward (and from there alone).
This has to mean, however, that the Obama administration believes they can control the response of the actual intelligence community to this smear of their work and character. Obama holds “the power”, you see, so he and his minions think they have the upper hand: the intelligence community will have to stand still and take the bullets.
I think a lot fewer people are looking at the bunnies these days.
So many busses, so little time.
You know what’s really disturbing? The mewling child at the very top.
Committee on Oversight and Government Reform hearing live here.

– I liked the blonde atty. She made Lamb give up her bosses, without taking bullshit for an answer. We’ll see who they give up.
– The list of designated bus wheel victims is growing by the minute.

You can still get Mitt for under $4.00 on Intrade.

Throwing yourself in front of the bus as a career enhancer.
Hmmm. Needs work…

We don’t think it will work this way.
