  1. Why did he move? I thought he had a lot of friends here.

  2. Drumwaster says:

OJ was “Not Guilty”, too… confused

Turing: “good”, as in “Johnny Be…”

  3. Alpha baboon says:

Maybe justice was done for once, even though I’m still not convinced that he didnt have anything to do with the killing.. Some people deserve what they get…

  4. bigbooner says:

Maybe he can join O.J. in a search for the real killers.

  5. CraigC says:

“Now I can start goin’ back to dat restaurant I love so bad.”

  6. Allah says:

As the verdict was announced, “Mokey” was showing on TCM.  Sniff.

  7. moghedien says:

“Blake was charged with shooting 44-year-old Bonny Lee Bakley in their car outside the actor’s favorite Italian restaurant on May 4, 2001, less than six months after their marriage.”

I always amazed that this thing has been around longer than the WOT…

  8. Sean M. says:

He’s on the teevee right now.  Just said that he’s broke and needs a job.

  9. Beck says:

In the words of Euripides, “Bitch had it coming.”

  10. CraigC says:

    She just wouldn’t listen.

  11. Carin says:

Well, I guess we’re gonna have to do w/o The Baretta Chronicles

  12. ahem says:

Slack. I think that’s what they call it; he got some slack. He’s old. People liked him in ‘Baretta’. They remember his performance in ‘In Cold Blood’. And his wife was a grifter.

No, he won’t be suing anyone any time soon: when you catch the slack, you don’t look back.

Only a year for murder? I’d be moved to tears, too.

  13. McGehee says:

    Don’t do the crime

If you can’t do the time, yeah

    (Don’t do it!)

  14. If we had English law here, I’ll be that jury would have returned a verdict of “not proven”.  Meaning, “he probably did it, but we didn’t see enough evidence to convict.”

I still remember that TV ad for STP engine treatment he was in.

Turing word: “too”, as in Blake skates, too.

  15. gail says:

AKA a “Scotch” verdict. I agree.

  16. Krusty Krab says:

Well, here is a summary of the evidence from CNN:

No eyewitnesses, blood or DNA evidence linked Blake to the crime. The murder weapon, found in a trash bin, could not be traced to Blake, and witnesses said the minuscule amounts of gunshot residue found on Blake’s hands could have come from a different gun he said he carried for protection.

Sounds like really a solid case to me.  No wiggle room here!  I just wonder how the jury could’ve possibly found reasonable doubt.  And the tragedy of a young woman’s life as a grifter just WASTED.  Some many men, so many scams, so little time.  Sigh.  It’s just depressing.

  17. Carin says:

Well, really – I’m sure he’s an inspiration to some … like OJ, and Scott Peterson …

  18. Matt says:

The DA had very little linking Blake to the crime- in fact, it seemed to me, the theory was “this woman was a scamming bitch so Blake must have killed her.”

Circumstantial evidence needs to actually point to something substantive (Peterson case is actually a good example of that).

    Word= “death”

  19. He will be on “Boston Legal” by the end of the season. I just feel it….

  20. jon says:

O.J. did it!  Blake killed Nicole, you dumbass California prosecutors!  And Peterson is innocent, since Phil Spector was the anchorman.  Of course, Peterson did shoot the B-movie actress while strung out on coke at the record producer’s private function.

The people just can’t handle the truth.

  21. mojo says:

    “G’wan, cop a walk.”

But don’t mess with Huggy Bear…

    Spambuster: body

    AKA “corpus delecti”
