Great moments in unmasking, #213

Former union boss at Occupy event: Our goal is to ‘overthrow the capitalist system and build communism’ “

Violence? Justified. Revolution? Why, naturally! Inspiration? The Soviet Union, China, Little Red Books, Cuba, and so forth.

Peering through my Visigothy filter, I see dangerous malcontents who represent the ideological base of the “progressive” movement — itself the base of modern New Left Democrat party, who has grown adept at camouflaging its messaging in the rhetorical tropes peculiar to the American experience while institutionalizing the kernel assumptions of collectivism in language and throughout our various institutions, from the academy to the media to even some religious reformation, where “social justice” and the State play the proxy role of a contemporary priesthood.

— While others insist they see only earnest Americans with policy differences who are merely out of their depth — and of course, an embarrassing conservative base agitating for the full-blown contraction of a necessarily expansive federal government, the silly teabaggers.

But then, they’re far more nuanced than we “knuckle draggers”. And even if they weren’t, it would be terribly terribly unhelpful to bring such rhetorical unpleasantness and linguistic rape to the fore — and decidedly unpragmatic to dwell on what are essentially useless labels, particularly when really all the average moderate or independent voter — the key to any electoral success — cares about is 1) does the GOP really hate the Mexican people and the gays? Because if so, fuck that, we’re voting socialist; and 2) we’re all for fiscal responsibility and economic sanity! Provided there are no real changes to any of the current entitlement programs or cuts to any current benefits. I mean, the GOP wouldn’t be so stupid as to do that, would they — beyond pretending they will as a campaign strategy? Because if so, we have to throw our considered moderate and independent weight behind the Marxists.

What he said [ “create an alternative” ] shows great fidelity to the underlying theoretical entity. Humans, the theory holds, create reality. They do not discover it, they make it, artifactually. Which is to say, for left driven politics, there simply is no natural right. Hence the basis of the United States is, for them, illegitimate as such. So.

I suppose that when voting for Other People to give them free shit falls through, the moochers will move to “direct action,” as I believe the pamphlets call it. I can only hope that when the cameras start rolling on these mobs trying to take over homes and businesses, people see through the narrative of “the 99% claiming their fair share,” and recognize it as “free people defending their hard-earned property from thinly-disguised theft.”

Which, as luck would have it, has really been the situation all along. So at least we might have a little clarity.

But who will the Union Leaders negotiate with after Capitalism has been overthrown? For examples, see the exhaustive list of famous Union Leaders of Russia I have compiled below:

    The end.
