Failure to evince any evidence of impropriety is itself quite suspicious, and probably bespeaks some hidden impropriety that must be ferreted out from the mass of wealth reported. RELEASE THE RECORDS!
Mitt Romney doesn’t owe any back taxes because they haven’t caught up with his scheming, nefarious Swiss-Bank-account ways.
The other day one of my Facebook friends shared an ad that they thought was clever and funny; something to the effect that they paid more tax on a pack of gum than did Mitt Romney on all the money he has squirreled away in offshore accounts.
Which may be true, but if true, would be wildly coincidental rather than based on anything known at present.
The complaint about Romney only releasing the minimum required documentation isn’t any more valid than my complaint that Obama’s grades were never released, so we never got to find out how much of a constitutional scholar this hopey changey fellow really was.

Mr. Obama, isn’t it true that you went to a very exclusive and expensive prep school in Hawaii? How can you say you didn’t grow up with advantages? Why did you lie about your mother not having health insurance when she was ill with cancer when it has been documented that she did?
