Just released pdf from House Committee on Oversight and Reform.
In his 2012 State of the Union Address, President Obama declared, “This country needs an all-out, all-of-the-above strategy that develops every available source of American energy.”1 Yet in 2010, President Obama declared quite different intentions, stating that, “One of my top priorities next year is to have an energy policy that begins to address all facets of our overreliance on fossil fuels. We may end up having to do it in chunks, as opposed to some sort of comprehensive omnibus legislation.”2 (emphasis added). Consistent with his 2010 statement, his Administration has taken several actions that would hinder the production and use of oil, natural gas, and coal as energy sources, thus casting doubt on whether the President has truly embraced an all-of-the-above strategy. This document outlines common myths and provides important details omitted by the president.
Not that this will get a lot of Lamestream play. It’s much more important to fete Michelle and her new book.
Squirrel!
Recently Cafe Hayek celebrated the fossil-fuel powered automobile as one of the most important inventions to make our world cleaner.
I like the whole Cleaned by Capitalism series over there. So suck it, watermelons.
Kentucky utility drops plan for nearly $1 billion in upgrades at coal-fired plant
Jobs? Electricity? Who needs ’em.
Michelle and her new book? Spare me. All of a sudden she’s Mrs. Greenjeans with her whopping three years of experience at “gardening”? Like she actually gets out there and pulls weeds and sprays for bugs. My garden is bigger than the White House Potemkin Garden and I’d kill to get the yields she “grows” in that patch of toxic soil. I mean, get real; they were eating “WH Grown” vegetables in March according to one of the menus I saw from an official visit by some dignitary.
I can’t wait until January.
OT
White House deputy press secretary Jamie Smith on legislation that would ban gender selection as a part of the decision-making process on whether to kill your child:
“The government should not intrude in medical decisions or private family matters in this way.”
Anyone care to take a stab at the three key words here?
‘Nother OT (but great).
This wasn’t a bad way to start the day.
As for Obama’s “energy plan”, we’ve built a giant Slip & Slide at the lake (only one broken bone so far).
I expect copious amounts of algae on it by July 4th. Or mold.
It could be mold.
Dunno if it will run a car though.
shit
I broke the internet.
It happens
Me.
