“This isn’t about Rush …” [Darleen Click]

“… this is about our community … and that the era of his brand of thinking is over and we’re moving on…”

Behold the multitudes:

Seven women participated in the National Organization for Women’s day of protest against Rush Limbaugh in front of Limbaugh’s D.C. affiliate WMAL, Friday.

NOW’s national protest day had been in the works since April 19, when the women’s advocacy group launched their “Enough Rush” campaign.

Pairing with media watchdog Media Matters for America NOW is targeting local affiliates and local advertisers, Friday’s demonstration was touted as the group’s big demonstration of opposition to Limbaugh with affiliates across the country participating in protests.

As of this morning, Rush’s Facebook page Rush Babes for America has more than 65,000 likes …

Yes, Erin, please do move on.

Maybe they could only spare 7 women to protest Rush because the rest of their membership is at CAIR’s head quarters protesting Islam’s treatment of women.

Although I haven’t been able to find anything on that yet.

People in NOW are trying to live in the past. They bought an empty oil well.

How bad would it be for me to point out the fact that her purse strap running across the middle of her chest really emphasized the outline of her bra, and made it quite clear that she has breasts? Because, once I noticed that, I kinda forgot she was actually talking.

  5. Abe Froman says:

Heh. I noticed that she seems pleased with her sweater puppies as well.

  6. jdw says:

I don’t care what they say! This is funny!

  7. BurtTC says:

And that’s as it should be! I mean, she’s not very pretty, and she’s got that nasally, whiny voice, and she’s obviously not very bright… she needs SOMETHING to attract a man, thus making it possible to perpetuate the species. Good for her. Good for us! Humanity survives, due to the push-up bra.

  8. JHoward says:

It’s almost like you aim to isolate and identify the thundering contradiction inherent in “feminism” or something, BurtTC.

If by “thundering” you mean thundering.

  9. OCBill says:

Does NOW have an official position on padded bras?

  10. Lamontyoubigdummy says:

Women attending the Rush protest + 29 = the number of bakery goods that were in the box after the group run this morning.

And we had homemade strawberry jam.

I like how she had to pause and take a deep breath halfway through her victim rant.

    Rehearse much?

And put your “Wonder Bra” away. It’s more boring than distracting.

The fellas know it’s all about the gams and the back porch.

Bewbs are always a fake out one way or the other.

    Just like you.

Don’t pretend that you aren’t all about the boobs, Lamont.

    You have legs.

  13. Lamontyoubigdummy says:

Fair to say, leigh. But Wash got the priorities right: Oh, yeah! I definitely have to say it was her legs. You can put that down! Her legs, and right where her legs meet her back. Actually – that whole area. That and the parts and above it.

    Firefly.

Is there anything that show hasn’t taught us?

  14. leigh says:

    *hangs head in shame*

    I’ve never seen Firefly.

  15. Lamontyoubigdummy says:

It’s more than worth the price of the Box Set leigh.

    Give it a shot.

  16. cranky-d says:

Anyone know if the blu-ray version of firefly is that much better than the standard dvd version?

  17. leigh says:

I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for the link, Lamont.

Anyone know if the blu-ray version of firefly is that much better than the standard dvd version?

Only if it has new cast/crew commentary or whatnot. We never watched it for the visual effect stuff cranky (or whatever blu-ray might make look slightly better). It was always the pure character/ dialogue meat & potatoes stuff that made it classic for conservatives and libertarians (or a little bit from both of those columns).

  19. cranky-d says:

Well, I’m an oddball who thinks that better visuals and/or a better transfer matter. Call me crazy if you like.

  20. cranky-d says:

I’m disappointed that an election was held for spokesman for conservatives, etc was held and I wasn’t notified.

  21. Lamontyoubigdummy says:

Well cranky, you go asking people to call you crazy and you get taken off the higfalutin conservative notification list.

    I feel your pain though.

    I’ve been blacklisted for years.

Erin doesn’t seem to realize that she’s not a community much less THE community. She got upset by something a guy on the radio said. And sometimes when people get upset, that’s it. That’s the end of the process. They got upset. Big deal. It’s not a cause nor an occasion for reformist activism, revolutionary struggle, or a massive social reconfiguration under her enlightened supervision. No one is obligated to care or to help her express outrage. None of the naive emasculated appeasing white knights Erin would call patriarchal oppressors and potential rapists need ride off to joust for her supposed honor. Erin is an empowered adult. She should not try to stir up a mob of seven to help her bark like a dog at every mail-carrier who ever brought her a bad letter. She should send Rush an e-mail or a snail-mail, take an aspirin, watch a movie she likes on Netflix(if she can find one in these dark times), take a nap or otherwise deal with being upset like everyone else has to.

She looks like a useless fool whining about a community of seven with the camera operator framing the shot on her tits. Doesn’t she have a job? Or has she been fun-employed by conditions brought on by Obama’s ‘economic growth’ policies? I ask because because a turn out of seven people suggests that her activism is more of a hobby.

I’d never trust a feminist without a mustache and scary moles anyway. Tradition.
