Great catch, Dailypundit!
Y’know, I like the name of that last signatory quite a bit: “Ivona Xiezopolski.” Kinda trips off the tongue, don’t it? Perhaps Saddam can use it as the pen name for his next novel. Provided a Daisycutter hasn’t turned him into desert spam before he’s finish writing it, of course.

for a better example.
Actually, I wouldn’t call it a better example, but an example of the same sort of tactics being practiced by the other side. The dishonesty comes from the fact that these “form letters” are really petitions, but they are sent out in such a way that they seem to be individually-penned letters-to-the-editor. It’s a minor dishonesty (people sending out these letters presumably agree with their content just as much as signers of petitions do), but it’s a lie all the same. I don’t care who does it or for what cause.
