Never Again, Again (cf., “Alterman’s List”)

Sine Qua Non Pundit Charles Austin is spot on with these observations:

The Nazi’s played a cat and mouse diplomatic game for years — testing the boundaries, looking for signs of weakness, and exploiting the desire of other nations for peace and tranquility. The Arab League and the Palestinian Authority have been playing a cat and mouse diplomatic game for years — testing the boundaries, looking for signs of weakness, and exploiting the desire of other nations for peace and tranquility.

Popular reading in 1930’s Germany was Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler. Popular reading in 2002 Palestinian Authority Areas is Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler.

The Nazi’s killed 6 million Jews in the Holocaust. The spokemen for the Palestinians are calling for the extermination of the 6 million Jews in Israel now.

Insert your favorite Santayana or Marx quote here about history.

Question: Are there people here in this country who are still fretting over European opinion, or over the mood of the Arab street (besides those in the State Department, I mean)? If so, send them my way, and I’ll gladly beat the whining out of them with a rolled-up Amanpour.

A revolting anti-semitism has begun bubbling to the surface of the mainstream media pond of late — disguised in its cerebral best as “analysis.” I mean, c’mon: the only thing missing from the stark black-n-white of “Alterman’s List” was a little girl in a red coat whose lifeless body we discover heaped onto a pile of dead meat by column’s end.

MSNBC should be ashamed of itself for ‘printing’ such rubbish. Altermann…well, he’s just a prick.

[update: Eric the CR offers his own considered thoughts on the “Jewish Question”:

Once again, ‘reasonable’ people are pointing to ‘reasonable’ demands, and saying, in effect, ‘Just give in, and they will go away.’ This is what the media view is. The Palestinians (and Arabs in general) like the Germans of 1930s are poor and humiliated. They are just letting off steam, just getting some self-respect and self determination. We know this because the TV people, and nice, reasonable representatives from the PA or Hamas, or Saudi Arabia, are telling us all that this is a Jewish problem and they gave just a little, it would all be OK.

And nobody wants to act…

The similarities are quite eerie, frankly. Stay vigilant, ebbody. And just as importantly, stay vocal.]

So the Palestinians are to be compared to “Nazis” in this situation? That’s as fine example of a Goebells like “Big Lie” that i’ve seen in a while.

While Israeli tanks shoot children in the street, and bulldoze the homes of innocent people, of course the Zionists are the victims. What alternate universe do you live in? In this one, the Star of David looks more like a Swastika every day. From a historical perspective, the persecuted became the persecutors in the blink of an eye.

  2. Jeff G. says:

The alternate universe I live in is the one in which suicide bombers daily set off car bombs or blow themselves up in malls and restaurants and toy stores in order to kill innocent men, women, and children—a universe in which acknowledging a people’s right to exist is itself considered a major concession by uncivilized thugocracies.

Don’t speak to me of historical perspectives—Arafat formed the PLO before the 1967 war.

The anti-semitism in the Arab world is as vicious as the Nazi’s.

If you don’t like Jews, come out and say it. But hiding behind the robes of “wronged ‘Palestinians’” is cowardly. Nice touch, though, quoting Goebells.
