Rall’s (not) Quiet on the Western Front

For those of you who hadn’t yet heard, Terror Prick® Teddy Rall’s at it again (and just in time for the 6th month anniversary of the attacks, too! ‘S prolly just coincidence, that…) — this time using his inky, stagnant drivel to attack those stuck-up New York firefighters (crass and sweaty opportunists, the lot of ’em — what with their practiced suffering and phony, muscle-bound humility…) The new Rrrrallph* cartoon appears in the April issue of Gear, so it can’t be reposted here without Rall’s permission (which protein wisdom isn’t likely to receive any time soon…)

James Morrow, however, has written a frame-by-frame breakdown of Rall’s mental gristle here; and, safely within fair use provisions of copyright law, you can view two of Rall’s hack panels here (no permalinks, so you may need to scroll down).

Commenting on Rall’s ouvre, James Morrow writes:

[…] at his core, Rall is nothing more than a one-trick pony who has hit on a way to get some free press in a world where that is very easy to do. Eventually this will all blow over, Rall may lose a few contracts and pick up a few more, but at the end of his life he’ll be nothing more than a stupid, bitter man who makes fun of widows and orphans and people a million times braver than himself. Good going, Ted.

Yes. And good going, James.

[thanks to the ever-vigilant Jim Treacher for the links]

*enjoy it for its onomatapoetic quality.

3 differences between Tom Tomorrow and Ted Rall:

    1) Tom Tomorrow can draw.

    2) Tom Tomorrow can be funny.

    3) Tom Tomorrow can show human emotions toward war widows (from <a href=”http://www.thismodernworld.com” target=”new”>www.thismodernworld.com</a&gtwink:

“Dear God, it’s all so bloody heartbreaking and depressing–the deaths of the U.S. servicemen; the murder of Danny Pearl (and the extraordinary composure of his pregnant widow–have you seen this woman on any of the news shows? –we should all have such strength within us).”
