“Women paid significantly less in Obama White House than their male counterparts”

Hilary Rosen’s OUTRAGE over this attack on working women has evidently been so loud only dogs can hear it.  Daily Mail:

All of President Barack Obama’s employees may not be treated equally in the White House, as recently released financial records show that female employees earn significantly less than their male counterparts.

Using the 2011 annual report of White House staff salaries that was submitted to Congress, an $11,000 difference is clear between the median female employee salary and the median male employee salary.

This news comes on top of continued criticism- of both President Obama and prior presidents- that women are underrepresented in the White House.

Of the administration’s 20 top earners, who each took home a tidy $172,200 for their work in 2011, only six of those were women.

Now, naturally, work history, experience, time spent on maternity leave, history of part-time employment, etc. — all of these things factor into market value for a particular job candidate, something conservatives / classical liberals understand, having themselves a rational relationship with markets.  Which means that, while women may on average be underpaid, we recognize that that average is based only superficially on sex/gender, and that other, more relevant factors create the perception of bias or discrimination where one doesn’t exist.

Consequently, we can defend falsely suggested inequity by pointing to those factors — and by then pointing out how women and men of comparable experience and situation share comparable salaries.

Whereas the Democrats, who run on perception and who look to demagogue issues, are forced either to overpay their less-experienced female employees, or else hope that nobody points out the hypocrisy of pushing solutions to a non-existent problem, only to revert to market norms.

Oops!

You fucked up, ladies.  You trusted him!

    Stop it Jeff!

All of these public sector assholes are getting paid with our tax dollars. You pointing out their hypocrisy only means these stupid bints are gonna get a fucking politically correct pay raise!

He probably thought that wearing mom jeans and throwing like a girl would keep people from noticing his personal war on women.

  5. sdferr says:

It’s odd, but far from suspecting our King Barry of maintaining a war on women, I’d the distinct impression he was in the business of a down-low war on some poor bloke’s bunghole when he wasn’t busy completing his utter destruction of the nation.

Sdferr, I once saw a minute or so of tape from a big money fundraiser a year or two ago wherein the prez and mo were on the rope line. There was a rather handsome gentleman who stopped and chatted with Bumbles. Bumbles spent the entire time caressing handsome guy’s shoulder and squeezing his forearm with his other hand, all while gazing adoringly into his eyes. It was truly icky, what with the missus standing right next to him.

Can’t believe this hasn’t been linked already.

DID OBAMA PAY A lower tax rate than his secretary?

Obama is a regular Don Draper. But without the gravitas.

    ?????!!!!!!??????!!!!!!!

  10. leigh says:

The only thing Obama has in common with Don Draper is they are both chain smokers.

  11. Blake says:

leigh, the President would have to be interested in pussy in order to be pussy whipped.

Heh. I should have said hen-pecked, Blake.
