“WALL STREET INSIDER: My God…My God…What Has Become Of America?”

This is a question, I think you’d mostly all agree, you don’t need to be an “insider” to be asking.

Evil creeps while the contented man sleeps. Which is something Benjamin Franklin never said. But probably thought a couple of times.

And if not Ben Franklin, almost certainly Johnny Cochran.

(thanks to Carin)

WSI: My belief is that what is being attempted…the…reforming if you will of the United States…yes – that is evil. The danger it poses to the country, to the world – yes…evil. Be it ignorance on the part of Barack Obama, or willful neglect…I cannot determine for certain…but he does appear willing to cooperate with those who have long sought to destroy this country…not so much a physical destruction mind you…but rather the…spiritual destruction of America. A kind of…cancer that will eat away at its internals leaving nothing but…an empty shell of what it once was.

The parallels with Bell’s story Space Traders is . . . . . well, anyway, the president in the story must really think he’s some special business to believe it possible to accrue such costs, and still remain alive to enjoy them.

The headline does the job: IRS May Make Political Groups Pay Dearly for Keeping Donors Secret — And Out Them.

And the groups might have to make donors’ names public…Even loose talk about donor secrecy no longer being guaranteed could put a screaming halt to the extraordinary flow of money into these groups from deep-pocketed people and corporations that want to buy political ads without leaving fingerprints.

Or any group of citizens trying to engage in political speech without a MBM license.

It’s just plain awful that we still have to do that when talking about Obama.

Hell, just the faux outrage from a bunch of people who’ll soon enough be off to watch Louis CK talk about Sarah Palin’s cunt and retard baby was enough to scare advertisers away from Limbaugh for the time being.

These are fascists. And this is how fascism gets institutionalized. I mean, there are plenty of examples of this being so. All we need do is look. Of course, making people aware is a difficult proposition, what with the left’s control over the news cycle.

But then, that’s part of the plan.

  9. Lamontyoubigdummy says:

    Geez Jeff. After that…

You need to say something funny.

Something funny that doesn’t make us want to jump off a bridge while shooting at people on our way down.

    On a Friday night.

You don’t have to mean it or anything.

You can bring the funny doom thing back Monday. Guarantee it’ll be right where we all left it.

  10. geoffb says:

In 2008 the American people voted for a man who has absolutely no regard for human life if that life is an impediment to the agenda. The meeting between himself and the prime minister confirmed that fact. The Israelis are now staring into the face of evil – a selfishness and disregard that is stunning in its scope and singular purpose. A delay was requested that has no basis in saving lives – but rather one that puts so many lives at risk! A delay that is pure political calculation – a calculation whose sole purpose is for but one political candidate – while all others are to be sacrificed if need be!

    See Glick.

While he didn’t pick a fight with Israel on Sunday, his speech did mark a clear attempt to undermine Israel’s strategic position in a fundamental – indeed existential – way. As many commentators have noted in recent weeks, Israel and the US have different red lines for the Iranian nuclear program. These divergent red lines owe to the fact that the US has more options for attacking Iran’s nuclear installations than Israel.

From Israel’s perspective, Iran’s nuclear program will reportedly become unstoppable as soon as the Iranians move a sufficient quantity of enriched uranium and/or centrifuges to the Fordow nuclear installation by Qom. Since Israel reportedly lacks the ability to destroy the facility, Israel’s timeline for attacking Iran will likely end within weeks. The US reportedly has the capacity to successfully bomb Fordow and so its timeline for attacking Iran is longer than Israel’s.

The reason this is important is because it tells us the true nature of Obama’s demand that Israel give more time for sanctions and diplomacy to work. When one recognizes Israel’s short timeline for attacking, one realizes that when Obama demands that Israel give several more months for sanctions to work, what he is actually demanding is for Israel to place its survival in his hands. Again, once Iran’s nuclear project is immune from an Israeli strike Obama will effectively hold the key to Israel’s survival. Israel will be completely at his mercy.

    Or the Krauthammer piece yesterday.

    or bad luck

“Think of it as spiritual gravity. It is that which tugs our better natures downwards — to everything that is a yielding to bodily appetites, a yielding to darkness, a yielding to hopelessness and pessimism, a yielding to a sense of shortage and misery. All of these things that are so easily capable of overwhelming us as human beings as we struggle to remain encouraged and bright and filled with faith. That is the tension that exists within our hearts.”

OK, sobriety problem resolved. I don’t know if Ulsterman is a talented huckster or the real deal, but what he reports is disturbingly realistic. Just adds to my “We’re fucked” file.

  16. Pablo says:

Ulsterman is fucking spooky. I’m suddenly thinking that he’s perhaps a bit like an internet Brad Thor. These people know how to keep you up at night with their “faction.”

  17. Pablo says:

As I said – much is being done to…educate voters in 2012. It is a collective effort by some to counterbalance the collective effort of others. Two opposing forces if you will…(pause)…a war. Good vs evil. And I mean that. That is not simple…exaggeration. I believe that. What is now underway is perhaps THE political war of this generation. No, not perhaps – it IS the political war of this generation.

That first sentence may or may not be true. The rest of it goes without saying.

  18. Pablo says:

OK, first 2 sentences. My bad.

  19. Pablo says:

Barack Obama is neither harmless nor unintended. What he is…or most certainly those around him…those who have formed and are now implementing the agenda…it is no unintended error. It is no mistake – but rather far more…far more worse than that.

Is this in question? Is this at all controversial among sentient beings? No.

    Fuck. Romney? Really?

  20. Pablo says:

    WSI: Evil. Corruptive all-encompassing evil.

    Well, duh.

  21. Pablo says:

UM: NO – don’t apologize. You have just said what my gut has been telling me for a long time. Back in 2008 something felt wrong about Barack Obama.

Something felt wrong? I was looking at a fifteen alarm fire. I FUCKING VOTED FOR HILLARY, FERCHRISSAKES!!!!

  22. RI Red says:

    I voted for Palin.

  25. Ernst Schreiber says:

That’s my take as well. If things were really as bad as Ulstermann’s insiders tell him they are, they’d be dead.

    And so would he.

  26. Pablo says:

Oh, but things are that bad, Ernst. If he had them on actual authority, he’d be dead. Probably. As it turns out, these fuckers are fairly incompetent. And thus, the mystery remains…

  27. geoffb says:

    Natural causes preferred.

  28. Ernst Schreiber says:

I’m not trying to deny things are bad, I just think Ulstermann gives everything a “political thriller” spin.

I keep expecting a sniper’s bullet to take one of his sources out mid-conversation, or for his dog to turn up dead on his front step.

AGAIN with the idea that all money belongs to the Gov and we just get to rent it for awhile.

  35. McGehee says:

I hope Romney has a good veep choice.

That would only matter if he won.

People aren’t going to be fooled a second time in a row if Romney tries to play the running-mate card like McCain did. I sure as hell won’t vote for any ticket he’s on, top or bottom. He could put God Himself on the ticket and I’ll still skip that line on the ballot, or write in someone else.

  36. Pablo says:

From the looks of things, Santorum then SMOD, Red.

  37. geoffb says:

    Rel;ated.

The report on Iran’s state television quoted Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as praising a recent statement by the U.S. president saying he saw a “window of opportunity” to use diplomacy to resolve the nuclear dispute.

Khamenei, who has final say on all state matters in Iran, told a group of clerics: “This expression is a good word. This is a wise remark indicating taking distance from illusion.”

It is one of the rare cases in which Iran’s top leader praised an American leader.
    […]
Obama told visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu earlier this week diplomacy must be given more time.

On Tuesday, the American president said diplomacy can still resolve the nuclear crisis and accused his Republican critics of “beating the drums of war.”

Obama knows and shows who his real enemies are. Now if they would just awaken to his message.

  38. RI Red says:

The discussion of evil has me cogitating. It used to be that I’d say, “The left thinks the right is evil; the right thinks the left is just wrong.” Lately, I’ve come to realize that more is at stake. Seeing Obama back-stab Israel and looking at the naked Progressive take-down of the Constitution, I realize that I have been naive. The left is much more than wrong.
While I’m not much into Revelations and prophecy, I wonder whether we are finally seeing the number of the beast.

Pablo, around 2008 or 9, Barry’s charisma had me worried. Now I worry more about who is pulling his strings.

Rapture? I never even touched her!

  51. LBascom says:

“Barry’s not the antichrist, btw. Not clever or charismatic enough. Rapture seems to be a ways off unless, you know, SMOD.”

Obama is clever and charismatic enough to be the POTUS, arguably the most powerful man in the world. I’m not going to declare him the antichrist, but understand, the antichrist is the false prophet of the beast, and is given power by the beast, he doesn’t have power of his own volition. Also understand, the beast(Satan) deceives the world. He’s not going to present himself as he is, he is going to fool the world into thinking the God of Israel is false, and heaven can be achieved on earth by man. Utopianism if you will.

    As for the rapture…

Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

Mat 24:44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

    That concludes my Sunday sermon.

  52. leigh says:

Rapture? That stuff is for Protestants. I never heard anything about it until the “Born Again Christians” showed up around 1980.

As for Obama, he isn’t the anti-Christ. I don’t find him charismatic, clever or well-spoken. But, I am only one person and perhaps his particular brand of genius is beyond my ken.

  53. sdferr says:

    heh, it’s Djinn djenius.

  54. leigh says:

    Heh.

  55. LBascom says:

“I don’t find him charismatic, clever or well-spoken.”

Whatever. He’s accomplished more to transform this country than anyone since Wilson though, and still has a damn good shot at being re-elected. Whereupon I’m pretty damn sure he will finish the job, boorish, stupid, and teleprompter dependent as he may be.

American economical dominance in the world…gone, Military dominance…gone, Israel…gone, individual liberty…a thin candy coating when allowed by popular vote and/or bureaucratic benevolence.

The Rapture, I don’t know, I’m a non-denominational Christian and don’t give it much thought. Jesus is returning in glory one day, I know not when, and I trust Him with the details.

  56. leigh says:

He’s accomplished more to transform this country than anyone since Wilson …

That’s debatable. I know Glenn Beck likes to say that. Glenn Beck says a lot of things, it doesn’t mean he’s right or wrong. It means he has ADD.

It remains to be seen if all of the things you mention in your post are the doing of Obama or are a domino effect of other world events set in motion long ago and are merely come to fruition in one glorious clusterfuck of world economic and military implosion.

People thought Hitler was the Anti-Christ and he surely did a lot more damage in a few years than His Nibs, Obama.

  57. LBascom says:

“That’s debatable. I know Glenn Beck likes to say that. Glenn Beck says a lot of things, it doesn’t mean he’s right or wrong. It means he has ADD.”

I rarely listen to Beck, I’m using my own eyes, thank you very much.

“People thought Hitler was the Anti-Christ and he surely did a lot more damage in a few years than His Nibs, Obama

Hitler is dead, Obama hasn’t finished yet. Hitler didn’t have a millionth of the destructive power Obama has. Hitler had to search far and wide for Jews to slaughter, now we have Israel.

I think there have been many antichrists in the last two millennium, including Hitler, Marx, and Mao. The last one will have the power to bring in the apocalypse.

I don’t know if Obama is that antichrist, but I haven’t seen anything to tell me he’s not.

  58. McGehee says:

If we’re going to talk about Hitler, he didn’t even start his war until he’d been in power twice as long as Obama has. The #Occupant-in-Chief may yet prove to be more damaging than ol’ Dolf, given the chance.

  59. newrouter says:

maybe baracky can start a war with england this year to celebrate the war of 1812

  60. leigh says:

Hitler was just a fer instance, McGehee. I don’t want to talk about him and was just using an easy analogy.

  61. geoffb says:

Confirmation. He only cares about himself.

  62. leigh says:

He certainly does, doesn’t he? Your link says BO “may” visit Israel.

    Sure, he will.

  63. sdferr says:

“might visit in the summer to reassure the Israelis that the US commitment to defend Israel is unshakable and thus thwart a possible autumn attack.”

This is silly, incoherent as a rationale [for a visit], plainly. Right? That is, what is reassuring, what demonstrable of a “US commitment to defend Israel”, how would that commitment be “unshakable”, should the external circumstances of the strategic picture the Israelis understand themselves to face — determined largely by the Iranians, say — in their own defense necessitate an earlier go date than “Sept.” and certainly November? It’s asinine to begin with to think such a thing, such a position, comforting or reassuring. It would have, on the contrary, precisely the opposite effect.

  64. geoffb says:

    Posted at wrong thread.

  65. sdferr says:

But then, the YNet article doesn’t bother to ask the question whether the opposite effect is in fact the intended effect, which, it could very well be. Why [hypothetically] intended in that sense is harder to make out, since after all, one wouldn’t think the Israeli reaction to abandonment would necessarily be to give up their sovereignty altogether and obey Obama, but to seek other useful alliances elsewhere and everywhere they can be found, so to press on to their defense and as they see it, salvation.
