Deporting illegal border jumpers — that is, criminals, who by the nature of their crimes are a de facto potential risk to US security — is inhumane. Making sure they’re able to keep up with the hormone therapy necessary for their sex reassignment while they’re being held in custody for being in the country illegally, however? That, for all intents and purposes, has now been declared a tax-payer funded right:
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the division the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) responsible for enforcing the nation’s immigration laws, will provide “hormone therapy” to illegal aliens it has detained who say they are transgender, according to the agency’s operations manual for its detention facilities.
The 2011 Operations Manual ICE Performance-Based National Detention Standards says that all illegal alien detainees shall be screened by a specially trained detention officer within 12 hours of their arrival at the detention facility. The operations manual specifically states that the “screening shall … inquire into a transgender detainee’s gender self-identification and history of transition-related care, when a detainee self-identifies as transgender.”
If the self-professed illegal alien transgender detainee has been receiving hormone therapy on the outside, ICE will give it to him or her on the inside.
[…]
The ICE detention operations manual also says that illegal alien detainees who are pregnant will be provided with help not just for an impending delivery but also in obtaining an abortion.
The report reads: “2. Abortion Access. In the event continued detention is necessary and appropriate, and consistent with the practice of our federal partners, if the life of the mother would be endangered by carrying a fetus to term, or in the case of rape or incest, ICE will assume the costs associated with a female detainee’s decision to terminate a pregnancy.”
It further states: “a. In this instance, or in a situation where a female detainee opts to fund the termination of her pregnancy, ICE shall arrange for transportation at no cost to the detainee for the medical appointment and, if requested by the detainee, for access to religious counseling, and non-directive (impartial) medical resources and social counseling, to include outside social services or women’s community resource groups.”
ICE’s estimated budget for fiscal year 2012 (which began Oct. 1, 2011) is $5.8 billion.
Unfortunately, like every other instrumentality of the State, ICE is under the auspices of an increasingly progressive bureaucratic and administrative apparatus, and so it now does the bidding of the Democrat Party. As does the vast majority of our unelected bureaucratic state.
Folks, we are living in tyranny. Winning elections doesn’t any longer change the trajectory of governance; it only slows it down, and even then — depending on who happens to be in the GOP leadership — a “slow down” is really only an easing off of the gas, not an application of the brakes.
We are no longer a free people being governed by our own consent. We are subjects. And we are owned by the government.
So the question becomes, what are we to do about it?
Punch her in the nuts?
I’ve been saying it for years… “When in the Course of Human Events…”
2025 or bust! Or both, I guess…
There is something in the Tao about a well-run state having few laws, and a kingdom that has lost its way having them in multitudes.
With so many laws and regulations and minute proscriptions, ignorance of the law becomes the inevitable position of the citizen. Who benefits from a polity that is effectively at the mercy of unelected bureaucracies so bloated that one of its arms knows not what the other does?
“Who benefits. . . ?”
Those who are exempted from following the blizzard of unintelligible laws.
“Those who are exempted from following the blizzard of unintelligible laws.”
The entire US Congress and the White House phoned to say “I don’t know what you mean.”
So the question becomes, what are we to do about it?
The Way has been marked for us already, as revealed by the words of Teh Won:
We will follow the Way of Teh Won. And if that doesn’t work, we can start blowing shit up and sawing people’s heads off on YouTube. Recent evidence shows that while messy, these actions bring respect and results.
“Recent evidence shows that while messy, these actions bring respect and results.”
Apparently so does demanding free Seconal and sex changes.
COME TO AMERICA AND THEY’LL CHANGE YOUR SEX ON YOU kind of sounds like the best illegal immigration deterrent ever.
I honestly cannot say anything that would not put me at risk for incarceration.
That’s the most joyful inducement I think I’ve heard in twenty years Abe!
I honestly cannot say anything that would not put me at risk for incarceration.
Simply tell the authorities that you’re here illegally from another country, and just watch all the free services roll your way!
The Radio Free America code words of the day are: “John has a mustache.” “5.56” “The bicycle is green.” “7.62” “The eagle has landed.”
Red, you I don’ like them damn crazy foreign metric numbers. It oughta be .223 and .308. Them’s AMERICAN numbers. I ain’t got no damn time to learn no funny international system or whatever.
Put a .308 in an M1 meant for a 7.62×51 and you’ll likely gain some new respect for that metric system.
h?Huh?
Html fail.
Did you mean 7.62×63mm ?
M1 was originally chambered for .30 06 springfield.
And while some .308 winchester can be off spec from .762 NATO it generallyworks fine according to SAAMI.
Aslo:

SAAMI, btw, is the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturer’s Institute .

And here I thought you were using the fancy-pants name for Finland.
Imagine a land where EVERYONE has fins.
Springfield armory specifically states that you must use 7.62×51 and not .308 in the M1A. The headspacing is different.
Sorry I didn’t say M1A the first time. I’m aware that the M1 Garand was originally 30 06, though of course one can buy reproductions in .308 if desired.
Again, that’s what the manufacturer says. I have never experimented, and don’t plan to.
Good to know, thanks cranky-d.
That’s weird, cranky, because the abominable (Flash!) site for Springfield Armory says the M1A’s caliber is “7.62x51mm NATO (.308WIN)”. Dunno what their printed docs say…
You couldn’t make this up and be believed, could you? Obama’s childhood Tranny Nanny.
My M1A (that I had before I sold it to a guy down the street for cash just before he moved) had an attached tag that warned against using anything other than 7.62×51.
However, it would be great if they have changed their stance on that. If they have and I’ve given bad information, I apoligize.
I’d always considered them as interchangeable (7.65×51 and .308) Have to dig out the exact specs to see how there could be a headspace variance. On rimless it goes from the base to a certain point on the shoulder.
My M1 (that I lost in a tragic boating accident) eats .30-’06 just as well as it did in 1945. Finest infantry weapon known to man, acording to some unknown general. Maybe that’s why O is afraid of them.
If we transgendered all of them it would solve the anchor baby problem…
I would like an M1 Garand. I’m not sure of the quality of those you can get from the CMP these days. My brother got a really nice one many years ago.
I may have to pay the big bucks to get a reproduction one some day. It would round out my battle rifle collection that I had to sell to make the rent.
About the .308 – 7.65×51 headspace problem.
And it gets worse.
I own a Keltec RFB match. ‘Cause bullpups look cool. I fired it around twenty times at a local range. And that’s it. A really dumb purchase overall. Then again I also own a Falcata. Which will come in handy if I ever decided to be a 2nd century BC Iberian light infanrtyman. Except it’s steel instead of bronze. It’s in the attic being stupid next to my military surplus cold weather sleeping bad and camping grill.
I ‘defend my home’ with a a 20 Gauge like the pussy I am, and a cheesy .357 Taurus revolver that holds nine shots and would make a fun club. Sadly it is ported so firing it at night would be blinding.
A nine shot .357 revolver? Holy shit!
At night, just close your eyes and unload. Hell, all the falling plaster alone would probably kill’em!
Sorry, I meant eight shots. Some twit put the 9 next to the 8 on my keyboard and my sausage fingers did the rest. Oh wait, that explanation doesn’t work when you write the word out huh? Anyway it’s eight. I just checked the thing and cylinder has 8 holes in it. It needs cleaning too.
CMP rocks. Grab a Garand for a grand. Not making them anymore.
