Severely conservative, 2

“BREAKING: Mitt Romney Urged Obama to Embrace the Individual Mandate.”

On the national level. And in direct contradiction to the defense of RomneyCare he’s been running on.

Somewhere in the cold of Connecticut, Ann Coulter is lying back, thinking of England.

  1. BT says:

So who gains from this on the eve of Super Tuesday?

Santorum? Newt? or do one of the withdrawals pull a Perot and get back in the race?

  2. bh says:

Jeebus, Romney is not having a good day.

  3. sdferr says:

Who would want a candidate for President who could not understand the wholesome joy of Grandma’s Boy, whatever may be his name?

  4. bergerbilder says:

For a couple weeks now, we in Ohio have been bombarded (literally, every 10 minutes on TV and radio) with anti-Santorum adds from a group called “restoreourfuture”. Their adds do not endorse any candidate. But I finally went to their website just to confirm my suspicions. Yeah, it’s Romney.

  5. BT says:

Anybody know what the current cost per vote is for Romney?

  6. ThomasD says:

I’m not sure you can lay back when you’re being done in that manner…

  7. LBascom says:

I’m going to say something mean, call Romney a name worse than slut. If you’re sensitive, stop reading this comment.

Romney is without honor. He is an ignoble man. He will no more restore this country to it’s founders intentions than a dingo will protect your baby.

Pray for a TEA Party Congress… same old, same old isn’t going to be good enough this time.

Are you sure it’s not Boston?

  9. bh says:

There’s a chance it’s actually Bill Maher she’s thinking about.

  10. George Orwell says:

By the way, following some comments from sdferr and bergerbilder, I listened to some of the callers to Levin’s show earlier this week, offering their defense of Der Mittster.

Two things. First, let us remind those who think the President can “fix the economy” and “run the country” that the Presidency isn’t (yet) a dictatorship, and isn’t “fixing the economy” something liberals have made into a fine art? Being President is also not the same thing as being the CEO of a private company. The president of Bain Capital cannot steal my wages to fund his operations, cannot force me to put a gun in my hand and kill other people, and cannot throw me in jail.

    Yet, anyway.

Second, for all the fans of businessmen as Presidents, I offer this short list of famous Presidents who were primarily businessmen before entering politics, courtesy Francis Cianfrocca from the Coffee and Markets podcast:

    Jimmy Carter
    Warren Harding
    Herbert Hoover

The President is not the CEO of USA, Inc. To believe that is to erase the categorical differences between voluntary cooperation between private citizens and government coercion.

I think someone should introduce Ann to Ted Nugent. She could use the perspective.

  12. George Orwell says:

Ted Nugent, checking out Ann: “Not enough meat on that bird.”

  13. LBascom says:

And by perspective, I mean, you know…Wang Dang

  14. George Orwell says:

If Ann lies back and thinks of England, can she apply to the Queen to pay for her contraception?

  15. LBascom says:

If the Queen payed, it would be a Fluke.

  16. George Orwell says:

The Queen is classy that way.

  17. SDN says:

Mitt Romney: Because white chocolate is less fattening than dark.

  18. […] folks. Warts and all, there just ain’t nobody else, and that’s all there is to it. Via Jeff, who says: “Somewhere in the cold of Connecticut, Ann Coulter is lying back, thinking of […]

[I]sn’t “fixing the economy” something liberals have made into a fine art?

Just like fixing a fight, right?

No sir, I am the one lying back, thinking of the GOP not splitting after the election, and Ann is spitting on it and putting in in. Right now I think Ace is keeping the camera pointed at the bed or something. Romney is currently trying to get my ankles back past my ears and asking me if I’m going to play it naughty or nice.

Okay, I just make myself slightly sick.

But 2010 is pretty much looking down the crapper right now and 2006/2008 is back. The elephant just won’t quit hitting itself.

I think I’m going togo drown my sorrows at Steak And Shake before all my money is confiscated to pay for activist law students that need expensive birth control or deflated to fiat backed ration vouchers..
