Talkin’ Shi’ite

The plot, it thickens.

Of the presumable concretions in Barack Obama’s brain concerning US foreign policy and national security, we have been witness to the original pudding-like substance taking on a nearer appearance to a completely brittle and crumbling capitulation to the contradictions with which he began. The people of the United States will still be present to suffer the effects of Obama’s impoverished outlook, though most probably, he will not be, not at least, as Commander-in-Chief.

    Valerie Jarrett’s Iranian isn’t she?

I seem to remember reading that somewhere.

  4. leigh says:

She was born in Iran, but she is an American black.

Who just happens to speak Farsi.

  5. LBascom says:

I remember reading, at the time of Barack Hussein Obama’s coronation, reading stories from Iran that he was considered the the long awaited 12th Imam.

    For what it’s worth.

The real question is, who does Obama think he is? Something tells me he wouldn’t mind being the 12th Imam.

  6. Ernst Schreiber says:

Obama’s holy book is the Communist Manifesto.

  7. proudvastrightwingconspirator says:

Sadly, King Putt shows none of the serious intellectual projections one would expect from a devious mastermind.
It’s more likely he’s the ESPN-watching, NCAA bracket filling, jock-sniffing, overly-entitled narcisisstic under-acheiver he’s always been. And once again, the he’s gaing the “system”
Occam’s Razor: he’s just making it up as he goes along and doing whatever Valerie Jarrett and the Chicago insider cabal tells him to do.

It’s worked pretty good so far.
He’s used the Constitution as toliet paper and the media LOVES him

  8. Ernst Schreiber says:

He’s making it up; the people he listens too aren’t.

I don’t by the closet muslim angle or the deviously deliberate reorientation of middle eastern policy. A combination of appeasment, anti-western 3rd world romanticism and garden variety marxism is sufficient.

  9. LBascom says:

I think you gentlemen underestimate the dread pirate Obama.

Like I asked before, who does Obama think he is? He’s very powerful, and very adept at using power.

We imagine his golf game defines him at our own peril. To him, golf’s a minor pleasure, some personal affection historians will fondly recall. Don’t delude yourselves about who this man is, an ideologue eager to ruthlessly impose his superior vision with the Allah given opportunity he’s been dutifully charged with.

    Obama wins in November…it’s OVER.

  10. sdferr says:

Well, first, he will not win in November. And second, as to his ideas? They’re a nasty mess of utter shit, guaranteed to produce misery and fail.

  11. LBascom says:

sdferr, I admire your confidence, and back your guarantee.

Four years ago, we were bracing for another President Clinton, and yet today, I think even Hilliary would admit, in the cold, dark, center of her heart, that she couldn’t have accomplished what Obama has.

OK, probably she wouldn’t ever admit that even to herself, but still, I’m sure Obama has accomplished her wildest dreams.

I’m taking nothing for granted myself.

  12. LBascom says:

Oh yeah, I was going to bed. Seeya

  13. HvyMtlHntr says:

Well, duh. I think it is pretty evident that Obama has been practicing taqiyya from the get-go.. I just thought he might be a total marxist asshat bent on destroying the America of our fathers, not a 12-er.

“Our problem is not Gaza, but [all] Palestine. [Our problem is with] those who protect the Jews from outside its borders, and prevent the mujahideen from entering Palestine to wage jihad for the sake of Allah and to liberate our holy lands. Thus, we say to the mujahideen: Those who want to enter Palestine and fight the Jews must start first [by fighting] the border guards [i.e. the Arab regimes], so as to protect their rear – because a wise man does not leave his rear exposed to his enemy. It is not forbidden to kill the Jewish state’s border guards, even if they pray and fast…”

sdferr’s very odd melange is wrong. This thing we’ve elected ushers in apocalypse.

  16. B Moe says:

You guys are over-complicating this one, I think. Most modern lefties are perpetual teenagers who see Republicans as parent figures. Much of what drives their “policy” is simple teenage rebellion at the status quo and a subconcious attractin to other “rebels”.

“You want a fight, President Bush? Let’s fight to make sure our so-called allies in the Middle East, the Saudis and the Egyptians, stop oppressing their own people, and suppressing dissent, and tolerating corruption and inequality. . . .” – Barack Obama, Oct. 2, 2002

That is just Junior naively expressing that his Dad’s friends aren’t cool.

It would be kind of cute if it weren’t so deadly.

  17. jdw says:

Oh, yeah. He’ll be back, BHO, and there’s very little we can do about it. This guy’s much better at securing the votes and support of the masses of stupids who are but zombified moochers and he has the backing of the morally decayed who are the [evil] Left. He’s better at this teardown and CHANGE! than anyone else save Lucifer himself.

We needs a miracle of some sort to turn this one around. And you know what? For the godless, miracles deservedly don’t exist.

  18. JHoward says:

We needs a miracle of some sort to turn this one around. And you know what? For the godless, miracles deservedly don’t exist.

This. Or as Dicentra recently observed at Brietbart’s passing, “God hates us”.

  19. Ernst Schreiber says:

In March 1980 opinion polls were showing people wanted Ford over either Reagan or Carter. How’d that work out?

While it’s certainly too soon to start sucking each other’s cocks, as they say, there’s also no reason to start running around in confused circles.

  20. ThomasD says:

Obama’s advisers are quite suspect. Obama himself is a clueless simpleton on these matters. He thinks he knows, but really does not. Although, frankly even if his advisers did give anything useful regarding the middle East or foreign relations, he’d still be prone to making poor choices.

It’s in his entire worldview. The guy was fed so much disinformation and illogic growing up he lacks the capacity to make sound principled choices. Ernst is right, it is a muddle of “appeasement, anti-western 3rd world romanticism and garden variety Marxism” in which he tries to navigate an obstacle free path. Which is really just another variant of voting ‘present.’

The net result is what W.R. Mead keeps referring to as Obama’s unfailing ability to find the sour spot.

  21. sdferr says:

At the White House on Monday, President Obama will seek to persuade the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to postpone whatever plans he may have to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities in the coming months. Obama will argue that under his leadership, the United States “has Israel’s back,” and that he will order the U.S. military to destroy Iran’s nuclear program if economic sanctions fail to compel Tehran to shelve its nuclear ambitions.

And to the survivors, if there are any such, he’ll simply say “You fucked up. You believed me.”

  22. LBascom says:

Seems the Brits aren’t too confident in us or the Israelis.

UK urged to prepare for EMP threat. The UK House of Commons Defence Committee (HCDC) has warned of the potential danger posed by a deliberate electro-magnetic pulse (EMP) attack, pointing – in a report published on 22 February – to Iran and non-state actors as particular threats. Citing evidence given by the US EMP Commission, the HCDC stated that “Iran, in particular, is reported to have been conducting what appear to be missile tests to simulate a nuclear EMP strike”

I will bore myself and everyone else by noting that if this were a Republican administration the MBM would be all over this story.
