Weird. Bon Jovi just opened an actual restaurant where people can pay whatever they want for their meal. As taxpayers, I think people owe it to themselves to eat there for nothing.

I pulled my land from CRP this year. It was easy to make a few bucks each year doing pretty much nothing, but then they get to tell me how much of it I could mow, where, and when… Plus, other use is severely limited as well and subject to rules for which “byzantine” is an inadequate description.
Now the whole 40 acres is mine. First up, apple trees.

I have more bees than I need, without having a hive. If you live in the right climate (temps mostly above freezing, with some excursions into the high 20s) you can plant an Aloysia virgata, which smells glorious all summer long (like almonds) and attracts every bee within miles.
apples! I went to the whole foods mothership today and the candied apples looked like America. The way America is supposed to look. Big and tasty and beckoning with just a small stick up its butt.
I ate a candied apple once and decided I don’t like America so much.
That granny Smith candied apple looks tasty though. Maybe I don’t dislike America so much as I dislike red apples with sticky candy or caramel on them.
Bees? Maybe someday. At the moment I’m trying to get the water tanker trailer done so I can water the Honeycrisps I hope to plant soon.
I suppose rather than putting fenders and lights on that trailer, I could just mount the tank on it and then haul it on my other trailer, but that seems a bit silly.
