Gotta see that.  That and Michael Moore *ate* America.  Hopefully it will screen here.  Half the fun will be making my way through the barking moonbats outside.  (I hope, oh how I hope)…

    Can’t hardly wait!

  3. Silicon Valley Jim says:

    Isn’t cannoli already plural?

  4. Jeff Goldstein says:

On the continent, perhaps.  But not here in Bumpkinville.

  5. Scott P says:

Aw, come on Jim, who orders a cannol?

  6. Lyndsey says:

Same folks that order the tamal…

  7. Silicon Valley Jim says:

Okay, I’ll go back to Visual Basic, C++, and SQL, and stop messing with English and Italian (except when I need to order cannoli).

  8. Badger says:

I believe the singular of “cannoli” would be “cannolus”, similar to “alumni” and “alumnus”.

And example, if you will:  “Cannolis and fresh horses for all my men!  And for me, a cannolus will be just fine, thank you.”

    Carry on…

  9. Silicon Valley Jim says:

I should know better than this, but . . .

I think that its singular is cannolo, since it’s Italian.  It would be cannolus if it were Latin.  I think that the word root is preserved in the medical term cannula, which is a narrow tube used for draining fluid or administering medication.

  10. Scott P says:

I think Jim wins on tenacity, at least.

  11. TomB says:

    Leave the gun.

    Take the cannoli.
