in which I very quietly dedicate a post to Richard Cohen, who, try as he might, simply can't find any anti-Semitism among the "Occupy" Movement

CNSnews:

[…] the so-called mainstream media are not reporting much of anything about this anti-Semitism. These are the same media that went ballistic when it was claimed – without a shred of video or audio evidence – that Tea Party protestors on Capitol Hill last year had hurled the N-word against Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.).

Typical was ABC World News’ David Muir who reported on Mar. 10, 2010: “And now we turn to late word from Washington tonight about just how ugly the crowds gathered outside the Longworth Office Building had become. We learned that as Congressman Emanuel Cleaver of Missouri was leaving his office, someone in the crowd spit on him. There are also reports of racial and homophobic slurs, one targeting Congressman John Lewis, the famous civil rights champion. …”

To this day, no one has produced any video or audio evidence that those events occurred, despite the fact that there were many video cameras and still-shot cameras at that Tea Party rally.

The many anti-Semitic incidents at the OWS protests are well-documented and easy to access on the Internet. Just do a Google search. But don’t expect the editorial apparatchiks in the liberal media to provide much, if any, coverage. They support the OWS protests, and so does President Obama and the left-wing elite. To borrow from Saul Alinsky, they don’t want to spoil a crisis.

Well, there’s that. Plus, a good Jewbash can be so cathartic for leftists and international socialists.

And of course, David Duke, (who TPM points out is a Republican; so I guess maybe it is possible for Democrats and some Republicans to reach across the aisle on occasion!)

pluffy and spitzer – who is a very hard person to look at btw – they are both jewish, no?

  2. MissFixit says:

Ah, well. At least these protestors aren’t middle-aged people wearing sensible shoes and visors. They can be forgiven for the excess of sentiment..

  3. happyfeet says:

but yeah this is doing to the Anti-Defamation League what Bill Clinton did to NOW

  4. Ernst Schreiber says:

Now now, these idealistic young folks aren’t anti-Semitic. Arabs are Semites too. Nor are they anti-Jewish, they’re just anti-Zionist, which is to say they’re No-JIMBY.

In a kind of reverse mirror to Richard Cohen’s inability to see antisemitism, the Owwies have spread a false story about the Oakland police action the other day, claiming the police used “flash-bang” grenades — they didn’t — and the news media has been happy to propagate the lie.

  6. Pablo says:

It seems to me that stun grenades would be wasted in a crowd control situation. They’re great indoors when you’re about to take a target down.

Something else they’ve been unwilling to report slipped through the filter at MSLSD.

  7. LBascom says:

Rush mentioned that 20 police officers have been injured at these protests. You don’t hear that on CNN either…

“The city has a liability to keep people safe.”*

The legacy news media works for the government now. Period.

I wish there was a better way of revolting against them then simply not using them. They are a fifth column. And yet we still teach our children, via the schools, that they are watchdogs against the powerful, and “objective” in their reportage.

  10. Jeff G. says:

    “A liability”?

  11. […] will be interesting how the Democrat’s Poodle media, those that have studiously ignored the #OWS Judenhass will react to herman Cain’s historically correct reference to ‘so-called Palestinian […]

  12. Squid says:

I suppose “liability” is sorta synonymous with “obligation,” if you bear in mind that it’s a Dem mayor who probably went to public school.
