Axelrod: Cain not a real contender

Finally, something other than the rank evil of the Tea Party that the Obama Administration and the GOP establishment can agree upon!

28 Replies to “Axelrod: Cain not a real contender”

  1. BBHunter says:

    Drudge: Poll – Cain 43%, Obama 41%

    – Bummblefuck isn’t running fast enough to stay out in front of his base.

  2. geoffb says:

Video of Axelrod is linked to here.

  3. sdferr says:

    Ontology will take the field.

Cain, I noticed, says this claim that “he’s not serious” is the worst calumny thrown at him during the campaign thus far.

  4. Pablo says:

Would you rather vote for “Not Serious” or “Proven Disaster”?

  5. sdferr says:

Why would anyone vote for Not Serious, as opposed to Serious, nevermind Proven Disaster?

  6. mojo says:

And if you can’t trust Dave “Denebian Slime Devil” Axelrod, I mean – who can you trust?

  7. LTC John says:

Come now, mojo – these people have nothing but our best interests at heart….like how they tipped us off that they fear Huntsman more than anyone else!

I always wonder how they managed to say that with a straight face.

  8. BBHunter says:

    – I think Cain is the O’fuck camps worst nightmare. A conservative black dude who seems to have charisma with whites and minorities.

    – They’ll have to walk on egg shells in their attacks least they be accussed of raccccism!

    – Me, I’m lovin’ it!

  9. McGehee says:

    – They’ll have to walk on egg shells in their attacks least they be accussed of raccccism!

Nah. The mere fact he’s willing to associate with us RethugliKKKans is proof that he isn’t really black — he just spent way too long in Boehner’s tanning bed.

And the fact we RethugliKKKans are willing to support him for president is just corroborating evidence.

  10. happyfeet says:

Cain survived David Gregory fuck yeah he’s a contender

  11. sdferr says:

    heh

  12. BBHunter says:

    – Could be just the oppisite McGehee. Axelrod wouldn’t be even mentioning Cain if they werem’t worried.

    – This guy comes out of nowhere and in a few short weeks he puts the GOP contenders dicks in the dirt, and now even moves past O’fuck, and he hasn’t broken a political sweat yet.

    – Maybe a flash in the pan, but it’s still fun watching the Won scramble if nothing else.

  13. McGehee says:

Axelrod wouldn’t be even mentioning Cain if they werem’t worried.

That’s true. I’m just saying they won’t walk on eggshells if Cain is nominated. They maybe ought to, but they don’t believe they need to, and they won’t.

  14. sdferr says:

The Democrats initial approach to the Tea Parties arising was to dismiss them. There is a pattern here, even if it’s only at the first stage.

  15. McGehee says:

Their main worry about Cain I think isn’t that he undermines the accusation of raaaaacism against the GOP — it’s that he isn’t Wall Streety like Mitzi is.

  16. And that’s not a boot on your throat, it’s an income equalizer.

  17. sdferr says:

It could also be that he’s serious when he cites Clarence Thomas’ jurisprudence. He gets it.

  18. BBHunter says:

….Tweeeet…tweeeeet….Major Strausse’s been shot…Round up the usual SUSPECTS!!

  19. Joe says:

Of course he is not a real contender…he might actually win!

  20. Squid says:

Now I’m confused. Which is worse — 4-c raccccism or 5-a RAAAAACISM?

  21. LBascom says:

4-c raccccism. The hiss gives it more moralist weight.

  22. Blake says:

Axelrod is merely projecting the inadequacies of the current President.

  23. geoffb says:

I’ve been trying to find details on the Cain “9-9-9” plan. NRO has two opposing pieces out, the editors hate it and Kudlow thinks “it makes a lot of sense“. There is the Cain editorial from Sept 15th on it here. It is also mentioned on the Citizen4Cain site that you can send an email to get a pdf file of the plan so I have done so. Awaiting it to see if it has any details.

I do know that most of the reviews I’ve seen if they applied the same logic to the present system they would show just how high the hidden rates place the tax burden on everyone. The hidden taxes at least equal the ones we see and are likely greater and more regressive than flat.

  24. LBascom says:

Here’s a national review article that is enlightening:

Starting in 2005, Herman Cain has penned a weekly syndicated column. Week after week, he shares his opinions on the political issues and policies driving the news. The portrait that emerges from reading them over the years is consistent with the charismatic figure who has captured the momentum in the GOP presidential race. […]

Lacking political experience, Cain doesn’t have a record for voters to paw through. But in these columns, he took positions time after time on issues ranging from health care to entitlement reform to TARP. There may not quite be 999 positions worth noting, but here are twelve key components of Cain’s political and policy outlook:

I think this is the key part of Cains 9-9-9 plan:

Cain only recently developed the 9-9-9 plan, so it goes unmentioned in his old columns. However, he is not shy about his affection for the Fair Tax, which he still plans to ultimately introduce (9-9-9 will be used in between our current tax system and the implementation of the Fair Tax)[emphasis mine]

  25. geoffb says:

    Columns are here, thanks Lee.

  26. mojo says:

Tolda ya – if they nominate Cain, it’s a cynical ploy to fool the electorate into thinking that they’re not racists. And if they don’t, well, then they are racists.

    Google it!

  27. foreman says:

Because he is real, he is a contender.
