Rather to Dallas reporter:  “I got your frequency right here, bitch.”

From RatherBiased:  “Rather Ambushed at Dallas Airport; Anchor Bashes Fox”

Fox News has reported that Dan Rather received the “60 Minutes treatment” when he was confronted by a local Dallas TV reporter.

Rather has flown to Dallas apparently to help his CBS people in Dallas get their stories straight and bolster their defense. More and more media organizations are picking apart Rather’s claims, as more is uncovered about the Texas Democrats who seem to have originated the story.

The reporter, from the local Fox affiliate, asked Rather if he felt he was duped. Rather shot back, “You work at Fox. Do you feel duped?”

It remains to be seen whether Rather’s daring “I know you are but what am I?” gambit will improve CBS News’ dismal ratings, or rehabilitate its current image as a collection of confused, forgery-peddling hacks in expensive suits.

    Wow, what a neener!

Rather has successfully completed his transformation to Richard Nixon.  A classic Nixonian response.

Does it strike anyone else funny that Dan of Docs ‘R Us was using commercial transportation instead of one of the Viacom private jets?

Perhaps he wanted to be seen so he could fish for the big pity.  I’b betting on a nytimes headline akin to “Rather Takes Charge Of Document Investigation”.  6/5 and pick ‘em.

Apparently the plug-your-ears-and-shout-“I’M NOT LISTENING” defense wasn’t doing the trick for Rather.  With the ostrich tactic abandoned, the “Look! Over there!” strategy not getting any takers and the “Oh yeah?  Sez who? / You and who’s army?” scheme fading, they had to try something else.

I’m personally looking forward to the adoption of the “I’m going to repeat everything you say” ploy.  That ought to be entertaining.

I wouldn’t feel duped if I worked for Fox.  You can only be duped if you trust the folks at Media Matters.  Then you aren’t just duped, you are a freakin’ moron.

Huh. And here I’ve been referring to the denizens of Demosplatic Underground as DUpes.

“I know you are, but what am I?” can’t be far behind.

  8. pst314 says:

Letting slip his liberal anti-Fox bias seems like a good indication of how stressed he is.
