John Kerry:  “What matters is NOT what I said about being in Safwan for the 1991 Cease Fire Accords; what MATTERS is that I fought bravely in Vietnam.”

“Besides, I was near Safwan, in the sense that ‘Brazil Night’ at the Ritz Carlton, Boston, brings together fabulously wealthy people from a variety of nations, including, in theory, Iraq.  Now, who wants a snow cone?” Captain’s Quarters has the details.

Incidentally, I caught the replay of Kerry’s Dec 2001 interview with Bill O’Reilly the other night, but I was so mesmerized by Kerry’s insistence that, should it come down to it, the US had a duty to remove Saddam Hussein even in the event the international community didn’t support us, that I missed his, er, historical embellishment.

Which, well…what’s there to say?

…Reached for comment, Dan Rather attempted to defend Senator Kerry’s narrative embroidery, snapping, “what did I tell you about ruling out time travel as a plausible explanation for some of these ‘so-called’ fabulations you keep trotting out?  Have you no faith is science?”

Was updating the post to insert the link as you were commenting, Steve.  Between the permalinks and the trackback links, I sometimes get confused.

Are you suggesting a causal relationship, Mr. Duffy?  Cause I’m thinking, “Brian Duffy wastes his time making pointless compilations of our President’s minor gaffes, thousands die.”

I guess yours is better, what with it almost rhyming and everything.
