"Obama Illegal Alien Uncle Won’t Get Special Treatment, White House Says"

Jesus. For a King, Obama sure has a lot of relatives floating around on the fringes of polite society, doesn’t he? CNS News:

President Barack Obama’s uncle, facing deportation for being in the country illegally, will not be treated differently than anyone else under U.S. laws, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told CNSNews.com on Thursday.

“I would refer you to ICE [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] and DHS [Department of Homeland Security]. It will be handled like any other immigration case,” Carney said.

CNSNews.com also asked, “Was the president aware that his uncle was in the United States as an undocumented immigrant?” But before the question was completely asked, Carney interjected, saying President Obama “was made aware of this issue when I walked into his office and, among other subjects, mentioned it to him and he was completely unaware.”

Carney apparently was speaking in reference to when the president first learned of his uncle’s arrest. Carney did not say whether the president knew his uncle was in the United States illegally.

— And even if he did know? Bush’s fault.

The uncle, Onyango Obama, 67, is the half-brother of the president’s father, Barack Obama, Sr. Back in 1992, an immigration judge had ordered Onyango Obama to leave the United States. According to the Associated Press, the uncle has held a Massachusetts driver’s license since at least 1992 and he also had a Social Security number, even though he is an illegal immigrant.

Well, then.

Seems to be a family trait, that.

Leading one to ask, just who do you have to know to get such documentation…?

Richie Cunningham made a wrong turn in life. Presidential press secretary? That’s lower than a hobo crack whore.

The King of Id had his father in prison and his mother working in the palace as a maid. Obama has his uncle in jail, his grandmother in public housing, and a cousin living in a hut in Kenya with no plumbing.

Whoops. Granny’s in Kenya and it’s an aunt who’s in the projects. So hard to keep his poor relations straight.

Kind of puts that “federal family” thing in perspective, doesn’t it?

  4. SDN says:

That will last until Uncle calls up the WH and wonders if his nephew would have any comment when Uncle calls WND and volunteers to be an eyewitness to Obama’s live birth in Kenya….

Can you imagine how the MFM would treat his were Barcky a conservative?!

Does anyone else wonder when Carnie is going to break down and go postal on the MFM press corpse?

Grandma in Kenya already claimed he was born there. MBM response: ‘Yawn.’ And IIRC Moochelle also had a few suspicious slips of the tongue regarding his pedigree and locale at various times. Those off the cuff remarks are quite telling.

Am I the only one who read “like any other immigration case” as meaning he has absolutely zero chance of deportation?

I’d also file this as directly related to yesterday’s “Who is Obama?” post. Any self-respecting journalist would have been probing all these questions and demanding answers since Obama took the stage at the DNC back in 2004. Anyone else with this many skeletons in the closet wouldn’t dream of seeking a local public office. This jack-in-the-box ran for President without anyone at all questioning his credentials, motives, background, affiliations, or familial relations.

Well, that’s not entirely accurate. He ran without anyone being allowed to question anything, under threat of being branded a racist.

Heh. No, I thought the same thing.

In fact, I even thought about quoting him as happy to be “guaranteed a free education and free health care, plus all the lion jerky food stamps can buy”.

    Really?

BOSTON — A judge who granted asylum to President Barack Obama’s African aunt ruled she deserved to stay in the United States because a federal government official leaked her status to a news organization, making her a potential target for persecution in her native Kenya.

Shapiro found that because Onyango’s identity and status were disclosed, she would be a target in Kenya not only for those who oppose the United States and Obama but for members of the Kenyan government “who oppose President Obama’s politics and/or his ethnicity, which the Respondent shares.”

I call bullshit. And I have an idea for a campaign promise his opponents ought to be making.

Insanity must be fun as there is so much of it on public display. Such as:

When George W. Bush was president, harsh things were said all the time by congressional Democrats and their leaders. Some even crossed the line.Yet, while there was disdain for the man in the Oval Office, respect for the office itself was never in doubt. I seriously worry that it’s in doubt now among some Republicans. Each petty slight by Boehner is one more chip away at respect for the presidency.

In Obama, we have a president more grounded and comfortable in his own skin than many of the people he has to work with to govern this country. He’s bigger than most of us. So the petty slights that get a lot of us riled up probably don’t register to him. He’s a thinker and plotter with his eyes on the prize down the road, not the daily hysteria taking place on the road to get there. That’s why I’m praying that when the real fight comes, the president will show Republicans — and the American people — that he’s not the pushover they believe him to be.

  17. Well, the good news is President Perry won’t build a fence too high for Uncle Obama to climb back over…

The situation with his poorest relatives is disturbing. There are no BHO family, friends, or fans who can scrape together a few hundred a month to pay a dependable charity to get the President’s brother a respectable job?
