"The Team Obama Spotlight Shines On The Environmentalist"

What’s most remarkable to me is that Obama, in his public speeches, still pretends — and still believes that everyone will pretend along with him — that he is pro-business, pro-prosperity, pro-growth, and pro-jobs.

I mean, does he not think we’re paying attention? Or does he really believe, with nishi, that he can stave off reality forever by creating his own reality through the manipulation of perception, a kind of imposition, by sheer force of will, of the make believe as the real?

Seems to me the problem with the postmodernist project has always been that, at some point, people will notice that their reality is not lining up with the reality being peddled to them. And that, once enough people ban together and realize that they aren’t simply outliers, the jig is up.

This is why the TEA Party has been so essential. And why it is so hated by those who wish to control us.

This is the heart of it. [My bold]

The Julia find consists of three leases granted by MMS in 1998 and two leases granted in 2003. The 1998 leases were granted under the Royalty Relief Act, which waived the government’s right to collect royalties on oil produced from the leases until a predetermined production level was reached. The act was designed to encourage costly and risky development activities in the Gulf’s deepest areas.

By cancelling ExxonMobil’s lease they can let it to another company, a political friend, and collect royalties from the first drop produced. Win-win, Chicago style.

Don’t mean to threadjack, but you have got to see this BBC Four production “This Skeptic Isle” by Peter Hitchens.

It details how Britain’s major political parties were used to whipsaw Britain’s entry into the EC/EU (it keeps changing its name), and how the agenda of the EU and its advocates was and remains the loss of sovereignty of its member states and the electorates thereof, and imposition of law from Brussels that the electorates of the member states neither have voted for nor wanted.

Interesting parallels with our current and future predicament, I fear.

    — that he is pro-business, pro-prosperity, pro-growth, and pro-jobs.

Add “government” behind every above “pro”, and you have the truth.

Strains of “Won’t Get Fooled Again” in the background. Nice.

Of course he thinks he can bend reality to his will. He’s been given a pass through nearly every part of his life up to now, and it hasn’t helped him one bit. He’s as delusional as a Soviet Central Planning Committee ordering the weather to cooperate with the latest five year plan.

Obama is naked, yet a lot of people are praising his choice in clothing.

Pretty neat little 6 min talk about US energy and Obama’s lies, linked and embedded over at Maggie’s Farm.

That oil pipeline from Alberta to Texas, not gonna happen.
