Congress won't pass the DREAM Act?

Fine. The King gave them their chance to vote on social justice and they failed. Now he’ll just have to do it himself.

And if that means he risks pissing off some of the nobles, so be it. “Jan Brewer: Obama plan is ‘backdoor amnesty'”:

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer called the Obama administration’s new policy that will allow many illegal immigrants who don’t have criminal records the chance to stay in the United States “backdoor amnesty.”

— Okay, sorry to inteject already, but let’s just stop the Politico right there and point out that “many illegal immigrants who don’t have criminal records” is itself a surreal formulation, given that “illegal” presupposes breaking the law — criminality — and that, for them to be identified as “illegal” for the purposes of granting them backdoor amnesty, they are therefore recorded as having been law breakers.

Language matters. It does. And because it does, we know that “illegal immigrants” are by their very nature criminals, though one’s idea of the degree of that criminality is fluid.

In a statement, the Republican governor slammed the planned case-by-case reviews of the approximately 300,000 illegal immigrants who are currently facing possible expulsion.

“This plan amounts to backdoor amnesty for hundreds of thousands — if not millions — of illegal aliens,” Brewer said on Thursday.

The Obama administration announced Thursday that its top priority will be targeting illegal immigrants with criminal convictions for deportations, and moving low-priority cases — such as young people who were brought to the U.S. as children, military veterans and spouses of military personnel — out of the deportation pipeline.

Brewer, who enacted one of the country’s toughest immigration laws, said the announcement “is encouraging more illegal immigration at the exact moment we need federal focus on border security.”

Bah, humbug, you uncaring racist xenophobe.

Obama cares about all the little brown children and their dreams to live life in a democratic socialist state. And those of you who argue otherwise — including those of you who are OUTRAGEOUSLY suggesting that this move is really about Obama trying to shore up a sagging Hispanic base before election (and if not that, at least flooding the voter rolls with fresh, grateful, newly minted quasi-citizens) — well, you just don’t know how big this man’s heart is.

I mean, honestly: he took time away from eating lobster with a bunch of very rich and very important white liberals to do this.

Show some fucking respect.

Grind those illegal kids into sausage and feed them to the ones still in holding cells. There is no mercy in this dojo.

You know, if every Mexican/Central American chick I see wasn’t a dumpy midget, I might could be more sympathetic to their illegalry. But they’re really not helping the gene pool, nor are their menfolk adding much to our glorious basketball future.

Let me add that, had sterlinggray adopted himself a few pet illegal Mexicans and clothed and fed them on his own dime, I’d still point out that they were criminals.

But no, sterling wants the cheap grace that comes with spending other people’s money on “social justice.” Because he himself is a parasite. Which makes supporting other parasites — and couching that support in self-righteousness and morality — a matter of survival: he’s trying to add numbers to the herd so he can continue to dig in and get his without being noticed.

If you yank my fangs out of you, how will we survive? Racist.

What has always bothered me about illegal immigration(the argument of those sympathetic to them I mean) is there is never any discussion about the root cause. They say these are just underprivileged poor people looking to make a better life for themselves, which is true as far as it goes. However, he root cause isn’t the laws of the US, it’s that Mexico is a shit hole.

Seems to me if the US spent as much energy pressuring Mexico to reform so people wouldn’t want to flee as they do pressuring us to accept the flight, everyone would be more satisfied.

It would certainly be easier to not get all reporty on 20 Salma Hayeks living in a two bedroom townhouse. Then again, I’ve seen pictures of her eating ant tacos, so, you know, lips that touch ants will never … never mind. Who am I kidding?
