Which, speaking of those recall elections, the GOP response has been surprisingly triumphalist, despite the loss of two seats.
If the GOP can wipe out one of those losses in the recall elections for two Democrats next Tuesday, I’ll be happy. Until then, however, I have to ask, is the loss of two seats — when coupled with the behavior of Republican Dale Schulz, who has been eager to side with Democrats — really a win for the GOP? Or will the fact that voters still backed the GOP and Walker’s agenda in a recall election serve as a wake-up call to Schulz, who may have simply been waiting for these election results to decide which side of the fence to fall into. His being an unprincipled piece of shit and all.

[…] Because I spent last evening drinking tequila and Eeyore-ing the WI recall elections… Or will the fact that voters still backed the GOP and Walker’s agenda in a recall election serve as a wake-up call to Schulz, who may have simply been waiting for these election results to decide which side of the fence to fall into. Alright, I’m going all n00b here, because this smartphone isn’t conducive to research.
Whatinhell is ‘eeyore’; origination &c?
Eeyore the donkey, serr8d. From Winnie the Pooh.
He was not what you would call an “up” person.

Take one of the fleebagger seats, and RINO-boy will stay in line.
Thanks, Squid. ‘Splains it all; Pooh was in my ‘detest and avoid’ column.
I’m with LTC John.
Also, Schultz won’t be cut loose on tough votes by leadership anymore. He goes off the reservation now and he’s looking at $0 party campaign funding and a primary loss.
When push came to shove he voted for the budget. That tells you a lot about where he thinks it’s safest to stand.
The other upside, LTC and jeff, is that the filthy unions blew 30 mil of money they can now ill afford.
I hope next weeks election will be just as costly fore them.
Considering that one R was in a D district and the other R was in one heck of a scandal, I’m not surprised at the results. The unions and Democrats targeted the six most vulnerable and got only two, after all of the money and energy they poured into this. That’s pretty bad for Team Donkey.

Iowahawk figured the unions spent $200/Democrat vote. That would be the same as if McCain had spent $12 BILLION to lose in 2008.
So either big big huge money doesn’t work, or the GOP did a David v MegaGoliath last night.
