Coincidence?  Or something more sinister…?

If you rearrange the letters in “CBS documents likely forged; Dan Rather holds fast to brazen denials,” you’ll come up with “Bill Burkett digs Dan Rather” (plus a mess of extra letters I suspect were meant to throw us off the scent).

Not a scientifically conclusive revelation, perhaps, but hey—Dan woulda run with it…

update:  “CBS’s Giant Eyeball emerges from his tony New York lair, sees own shadow.  Several more weeks of obfuscation and denial to follow!”*

The ‘Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods continue to have a place in pop-culture’ update“Billy, don’t be a hero, don’t be a fool with your life…”

Could this point any more clearly at the Templars?  They’re obviously behind all this.  What better way to destabilize the government than a ploy which makes both parties look bad?

  2. McGehee says:

CBS has a peacock? Does NBC know? Did they get it from the Bilderbergers?

  3. Jeff Goldstein says:

Peacock?  What peacock? I don’t see any peacock…

I think you’re confusing that with CBS’ Giant Eyeball wink

  4. What do you expect from a network with a gigantic black eye as a logo?

My hunch was correct.  Brain Fever.

In January of 1998 and what seems like a full lifetime ago, I was stricken by a deadly case of meningoencephalitis

Link is to a piece in which he said that Bush aides had retaliated against him for “refusing to alter personnel records of George W. Bush.”

Burkett later admitted he made that part up, be was exaggerating.

Jeff, your paragraph about the peacock is clearly a forgery. I was able to make an exact replica of it in a version of Expression Engine that didn’t exist when I posted my previous comment.

And when I tried to make a copy of it in the latest version that existed at that time, it looked like I was trying to type while under the influence of several cases of beer.

The fact I’d just consumed several cases of beer is, I’m sure, totally irrelevant.

Furthermore, the comment just above this one, attributed to me, is also obviously a forgery.

And just to complicate things, McGehee has produced an exact copy of his own post.

  9. The first one’s an obvious forgery.

    Hmmmm.

    lol.

Ok.  So if the CBS “eye” symbol is similar to that of Sauron’s Great Eye.  Then I guess Dan Rather is either Saruman or Wormtongue?

Actually I think I rather like the name “Wormtongue” for old Dan.

This wednesday night on 60 Minutes II, Wormtongue.

    lol.
