Lemon tree very pretty /
and the lemon flower is sweet /
But the fruit of the poor lemon /
— while clearly not for everyone—/
should take its rightful place in the free market /
so that consumers and growers /
can make their own decisions /
regarding both the lemon’s gustatory value/
and its potential profitability /
as an agricultural commodity.
The same goes for other cultivated foodstuffs and their consumers / growers / guardians.
Tippytoe, Tippytoe!!!
Impossible to eat, yet as the chosen one, many have passed my lips. By the way, they make a delicious drink but now I’m just taunting you.
