Don’t worry, though. Soon John Huntsman or Mitt Romney will step in and save us, while keeping the earth safe from human exhalation, and keeping corn safe from consumption.
Substance.

Heh, brings up kind of a dilemma for those wanting us to tax the shit out of the rich. To most of the rest of the world, the poorest American is filthy rich.
Why, even the guy making minimum wage outta have half his check taken ‘cuz of the starving third world kids.
On the commute this morning I heard a lesser conservative talker abruptly dismiss any notion of Ogabe’s willful dismantling of structural American principle as poppycock. His caller did too, thereby cementing the dismissal for all time.
No argument, no rebuttal, no assessment of the facts. But you could hear the fear of disapproval crackle through the microphone and onto the airwaves.
So there you have it.
This has long been the end-game of the transnational socialists; the redistribution of American “ill-gotten” wealth from all of our greedy over-indulgent selves to the rest of the world that we “raped” in order to get it. Even if we don’t think of it as “rape-rape”.
That’s what Obama said in that famous campaign rally in the northwest, when he said we can’t keep drivin’ our SUVs, eating so much food, and running the A/C all the time; and whatever other asinine pronouncements he chose to underscore the fact that all we have here in the US are esentially underserved spoils of imperialism; economic or otherwise.
As Lee said, though, this might be a bit of a surprise to those who thought he only meant to spread the wealth around the US…

Please. They have no intention of “redistributing the wealth” to the poor and underpriviledged. Oh sure, they’ll seize the wealth from the productive, but they won’t give more than a pittance to the poor.
The rest will find its way into their pockets. And whaddaya gonna do about it, suckas? We got ours; you got nuthin’.
Just TRY to take it back. Go ahead: I dare ya. You and what army?
Sadly true dicentra. I was only outlining the excuse they’ll use…
It’s bad enough that we redistribute wealth via our trade imbalance, but, I guess that’s too slow a process.
Be interesting to see the contortions one must go through to fit this under the General Welfare clause, but I am sure some will try.
